Caturday Art
To create today’s art, I selected a photo of Sawyer. It was taken the day of his return from his walkabout. He was conked out in our collapsible/portable pet kennel awaiting a trip to the vet.
As I do most weeks, I used Painnt to create this art. It is the Botanic effect. The heart border is from favpng. I selected this border, as I think Sawyer’s nose looks like a little heart, and Valentine’s Day will be here soon.
Sawyer is joining the Caturday Art blog hop hosted by Athena Cat Goddess. If you are interested in participating or just checking out art by other bloggers, click on Athena’s badge.
Sawyer does have a puzzle for all you jigsaw fans.

Cat Sawyer’s Caturday Heart Art
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday on Caturday
I missed posting on Thursday, so I have my poem today for Teddy and Angel Sammy’s weekly poetry challenge. The inspiration photo they provided and my poem are below.
What Lies Beyond?
What a magical place…
I want to see beyond this door
Where a golden light shines,
Leading me to something more.
The key is hanging right here,
Giving me the ability to explore.
I expect fairies are waiting
If I’m to believe in folklore.
If I do not see fairies, I hope to find
The staircase to the rainbow bridge.
As my heart’s one true desire
Is to see and hug my angel furkids.
It would make me extremely happy
To find Kitties Blue special niche,
Where they now romp and play,
And delight in their smiling images.

This poem represents what I wanted to say, but I don’t think it is one of my best efforts. Regardless, I hope you like it.
If you’d like to try writing some poetry, check out Two Spoiled Cats by clicking on the poetry badge and then look for the Thursday poetry post to find next week’s photo. And please don’t forget to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He’s a terrific poet.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
Tomorrow’s the day when all of you get to show off just how adorable you are. It’s easy to do. Just put on your best smile, snap a selfie and join our blog hop. It is open to all anipals regardless of species. And you don’t even need to post tomorrow to join in the fun. The hop remains open through Thursday. As usual, I have no idea which of the Kitties Blue will be your host, but I know I’ll be able to bribe one of them.
So, please join us. It is a great way to make new friends.

We love that artwork of Sawyer. His nose DOES look like a heart!
Your poem is beautiful, Mom Janet. We feel that way, too.
I love your poems, I thinks partly because they so express what I also feel.
It is good to surround Sawyer in hearts! Happy weekend!
I still am thankful that Sawyer was found and that he is home surrounded by his family and love. Noelle, you have a real mancat to love there.
Be still my heart!!! That is such a sweet photo and I want to teleport over and kiss your adorable heart-shaped nose!!!
Love and whisker kisses
Noelle
Having Sawyer back home had to be a truly amazing day – so many stories like that don’t turn out happily but your hard work paid off and Sawyer has his wonderful home again. I love your poem – you have the same “take” on it as I do – not a scary feeling like some got from the darkness surrounding the golden light. I know there is magic behind that door – reuniting with all our Angels would be amazing. There would not have been a “heart” key if it was a dangerous door. Thanks for being a lover of words and thoughts….that’s what poetry day is all about.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Every time we see Sawyer, and this time is especially poignant, we are so thankful that he returned and is in his loving family again. Mama says that what your family went through when he did his walkabout is hard to imagine. So glad for Sawyer.
