Caturday Art
Occasionally I end up creating more than one piece of art I like for the Caturday Art blog hop. That’s what happened this week. The basis for each design was the Thick Paint effect from Painnt. I did tinker with it quite a bit. I set Color Composition to Soft Light and Coloring to Sunny. In Basic edits, I bumped up both brightness and saturation. The “Prominence” frame also is from Painnt.
I always like to cover up the Painnt imprint when I use this app, and I usually use a piZap border to do that. For some reason I decided to fiddle with the filters instead. This first rendition has the Blaze filter.
This rendition has the Galaxy filter.
I think I like this final creation the best. Let me know what you think in the Comments and if you have a favorite.
If you couldn’t tell, a napping Sawyer is the subject of today’s art. That’s Mau’s foot encroaching into the photo. Sawyer continues to be a little stinker. He somehow escaped on Thursday, losing his collar in the process. Luckily his tummy clock went off signaling to him it was dinnertime, and he showed up at the door to the catio. We are not certain how he escaped, unless he flung himself from the upper deck into a nearby tree and climbed down. I honestly cannot believe he jumped from the railing on the upper deck 20-some feet to the ground. He’s not talking so we’ll never know. Luckily Dad Tom found his collar and I.D.
Sawyer is entering Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. As I am writing this, he has not decided which of the art versions he is going to enter. If you would like to join in the fun, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
Wow, these weeks are flying past. It will be Halloween, then Thanksgiving and Christmas before we know it. We need to start working on our Christmas list. But in the meantime, we have our Selfies hop tomorrow. Your host is yet to be determined. Unfortunately, we will be remembering another kitty who recently got his wings, Rusty from Jan’s Funny Farm.
Polish up those smiles and get those selfies taken, so you won’t have to take time out from your Easy on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Finally making the rounds. I like the colors in the first one. I also use the content aware tool in Photoshop to block out the Paintt logo when I use it.
Amazing artwork, Sawyer. We especially like the first one and the border too. Great work my furriend 🙂 Glad your collar was found! Extra Pawkisses 🙂 <3
Hi Sawyer!
They are ALL Dynamite!
I see there is a photo bomber in your photo…and I, Marvelous LOVE the first one!

Beautiful art!
Those are all beautiful, but the second one speaks to us the most!
These are all pretty, but I like the second one best. XO
We THOUGHT it was Sawyer!!!
Great picture!
Those are all super nice just like Sawyer fur sure!
We love them all. Sawyer looks very innocent…..he even seems to have a smile on his face.
The Florida Furkids with eleventy billion smoochies and tons of love to Mau from Allie
We like the colors…very fall like. And Sawyer…you better stay inside! We wouldn’t want you to get lost, despite what your tummy tells you.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful artwork for Caturday Art Day. They are all beautiful the way you did each one. We are happy that Sawyer’s tummy clock told him to come home for dinner. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
All renditions are beautiful but I think I’m partial to the second one. What a stinker that Sawyer is. Just the thought of an escaping kitty gives me chills. Good thing he made his way home safely. Around here I’m afraid of all the wild critters both on the ground and in the air. So glad he’s home safely! 😻
I like all of them, but I think my favourite is the second one. I have a commentathon on my blog and am giving 50p. for every comment to our local adoption centre. Please come and leave a comment. Ends next Friday.
I like them all for different reasons!! So cool!!!
I love them all and can’t decide if I have a favorite. I don’t think I do. I did see that paw. Well a paw photo-bomb is okay.
Have a purrfect weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
WE LOVE LOVE LOVE all the versions of that photo of Sawyer….he’s imminently photographable (fancy huh??!!). We also think that boy was made for the high wire act of the circus. He’s amazing with his ability to escape and leap around like Superman!
Hugs, Teddy
Nice trio of art! I wonder how Sawyer gets out – sneaky little guy, isn’t he?
