Thank You
Dear Friends,
I am happy to report that I am home, and I am fine; though, a little wobbly when I walk. That happens when you are stuck in a cage for a day and a half. It made me realize how sad and confining life is for the kitties and pups who will be spending the holidays in a shelter somewhere. I am such a lucky kitty to have a loving and forever home.
Anyhoo, I started my new meds (Keppra) at dinner time tonight. I now am taking phenobarbital, Zonisimide and the new med. Mom and Dad are praying this will finally control my seizures.
The best news is that I don’t appear to have suffered any brain damage. One would think I had if you believe the tall tale one of the staff ladies at the Emergency Vet told Mom and Dad. She said I let her cradle me in her arms like a baby. I think she must be hallucinating. I would never allow such a thing. I did, however, let Mom hold my paw this afternoon while we napped together on the bed.
Please accept my sincere thanks for all the purrs, prayers and POTP you sent my way. They helped lots. If you have a few of each to spare, can you please use them to ask that the combo of these three medications finally stop my seizures.
Caturday Art
In appreciation of your friendship, love and support, I asked Mom to turn a new photo of me sleeping in the sphere into Caturday Art. I really hope you like it.
Mom created this using the Hyperrealism effect from Painnt and an overlay from piZap.
This is how the art looked prior to adding the piZap overlay.
And finally, here is the original.
I am going to pop over to Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s blog and join her Caturday Art blog hop. I sure hope to see many of you there. If you would like to join me or just check out art from your fellow bloggers, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
We Kitties Blue can hardly believe this is the last Sunday before Christmas and that a new year is almost here. We know everyone is busy with decorating, wrapping, baking, writing cards and going to parties, but we hope you can spare a few minutes to snap a selfie and join us for our weekly blog hop.
Mom also will be posting our Thoroughly Poetic Thursday poem tomorrow. She wrote it before I had my seizure and doesn’t want to waste a “good” poem. Plus we cannot let down our friends, Angel Sammy and Teddy.
With many thanks, love, purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer
We are saying paw prayers that the medicines will help you to become seizure free. You are so loved, Sawyer, and we want you to be happy and healthy. Purrs!
We do hope the meds will stop the seizures. We remember how horrible it was when one of our own had them.
I am so happy that you are home. I am praying your new meds will keep those awful seizures away. XO
Sawyer, we’re glad you are home and we purr the new medicine keeps you well. Purrs….
Oh, dear Sawyer, we didn’t know you’d been ill as we haven’t been around much. We are so glad you are much better now!
Sending you healing purrs and love,
Athena and Marie xx
Thank goodness that you are now home and on the mend, Sawyer. We still be praying for you and your continued improvement. We hopes you have a lovely Christmas too, snuggled in with your family.
Purrs and prayers

Sawyer, you’ve been through so much. I hope they finally found the magic combination of meds.
Oh, Sawyer, we are so glad you are home! You keep snuggling with mom and taking that new medicine, okay? And we will keep on purring and praying for you!
We are purring real hard that the seizure monster goes away for good. So glad you made bail.
Such wonderful news that you’re home and stable on your new medicine cocktail. And don’t worry about that story that you maybe snuggled with the vet. We know it’s because you were sick, drugged, and just making the vet feel better for trapping you in a cage for 2 days!
We’re so glad to read such good news, Sawyer ! Purrs
Sawyer, it is so good to read this ! We are purraying for a happy Christmas for the whole Blue Crew !
Glad your home Sawyer and cuddling with mom. This will be the bestest of medicine for you.
Shoko, Tyebe and Budd
Sawyer, We are soooooo happy to hear that you are home where you belong and we are CERTAIN that lady at the vets was lying through her teeth about you being all snuggled in her arms cause that could NEVER happen! Nope, you are a tough boy who don’t need no warm cuddles and soft pets. . . oh wait. Hmmm. Well, even if you *did* allow that, I am certain it was because you was all drugged up and not really yourself. We won’t give it another thought, ha ha meow!
We will definitely keep purring and purraying for you, Buddy. XOXOXOX to all you kitties and Mom & Dad too
Sawyer Daisy Mae are so glad you’e doing better and are home hopefully. We’ll continue purring and praying for you and all the other animals. Here’s to good health.

Oh Sawyer, we are so glad to hear that you are home! Your pawrents hate when you are away, so take care to stay. Vet people say weird stuff sometime; they say too much or not enough. We, as our cats advocates, must learn to filter the information, ask tons of questions, and work hard to make sure there is an understanding. Your pawrents love you so much!
I have my fingers and toes crossed that the new meds work, Sawyer. I’m so glad you’re home where you belong. Now you just let that medicine work.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to the rest of the kitties and your peeps. ♥
We’re purring that the addition of the new med makes the seizure monster go away. We know you are super happy to be home with your Mom and Dad and fursibs!!
The Florida Furkids with tons of smoochies and love to Mau from Allie
I am so happy to hear you are home sweet Sawyer and we’re praying that new med helps you so much. We love ya pal, keep the all better close please.
Happy days! That news is a great Christmas present. Praying that the meds will keep the seizures under control. Better yet, I pray that you outgrow them and they go away completely! And, dear little Sawyer, if you don’t want to be held then you’ll have to stop being so adorable. And that’s not gonna happen! 😀 <3
So glad Sawyer is back home and in better shape. Hope those meds do the trick!
We are so happy you are home Sawyer. I’m sure your fur sibs and your parents are also happy you are OK and home. We will continue to send purrs and prayers that your meds help to control your seizures.
Hugs
Scout Charles and his family
I’m glad Sawyer is doing okay now. That must have been scarry. My computer has been down for two days so I have not kept up with what has been going on.
Yay…such wonderful news!!! Welcome back home, Sawyer~ you are loved.❤️
Sawyer everyone in blogland is so happy you are alright and you’re back home. You got the bestest EVER care at the emergency vet and now you’re on another medicine which we PRAY will keep you seizure-free. You are like everyone’s little brother – and when one of us is not well, we worry, we pray, and we send tons of purrs. I’ll keep doing that always – I promise! Love your curled up snoozy photo – my favorite is the “REAL” you!!!!
Hugs, Teddy
I am glad and relieved that you are back home, Sawyer. I hope your new meds will control those frightening seizures. Your art is lovely too, but so is the original.
Welcome home lad, it is good to see you home and with medicine. I know we are relived and I bet your family is too!
