Caturday Art
Since Fiona has been ill, she has been getting more attention than any of the other kitties, especially her sister Giulietta. Giulietta loves to snuggle in her dad’s lap. But now Fiona is camped out there a major portion of the time (when she’s not in mine). I try to give our floofy girl as much attention as possible, but she’s been keeping a low profile.
It seemed only right that Giulietta should get a special day for herself on the blog, without having to share with Fiona. It’s impossible to enhance her natural beauty with photo editing, but I did try to give her photo a special look by making it appear vintage. Hope you all like it as much as I do.
I created this week’s art using first the smudge and the edifice textures from PicMonkey. The uneven black border was added in piZap and the plain black border in Picasa.
Here is the original photo of Her Royal Floofiness.
This is our entry in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. This is one of my very favorite hops as I have so much fun experimenting with the numerous free photo editing apps available on-line. I actually do have the premium version of PicMonkey, which I used this week and for which I pay a fee.
If you’d like to few some other cool art and/or create some of your own and enter the hop, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies
I haven’t begun to attempt to sweet talk any of the Kitties Blue into snapping a selfie for tomorrow. Fiona is standing in my lap right now and kreading a batch of biscuits, but I cannot reach the cell phone. So, it most likely won’t be her who gets the honor of being your host. She and Astrid have been taking turns in my lap throughout the day. I actually have five paw-sized bruises on my left thigh from exuberant biscuit making. The girls can really get into the process of tenderizing me.
We look forward to our regular Sunday Selfies hoppers and invite any and all anipals to join us. Have a terrific Caturday. We’ll see you tomorrow.
Giulietta really is beautiful. I love how you thought of doing those textures in PicMonkey. I would have never thought of that. The effect is lovely. I have the premium PicMonkey too. I love the original photo but I’m a big sucker for the vintage look.
Wow. Oh… WOW. Oh wow-oh-wow-oh-WOW! That is art worthy of hangin’ on the walls of the finest art galleries, for sure. GORGEOUS!!!

Gorgeous! This is frame worthy! I love it!
Giulietta is beyond stunning. How sweet that she gets this special day all to herself on the blog. Both the original photo and the artified version are so beautiful. I love all things vintage, and this is no exception! Purrs to Giulietta and all the Kitties Blue, and to their mom and dad! We’ll see you tomorrow for Sunday Selfies! (We’re in the same boat, though, wondering if any furbabies will cooperate with us…)
What a beautiful kitty, and the vintage effect is perfect! Purrs..
Guiletta is gorgeous, I love the art you made of her. Bruises from biscuits- that is exuberant biscuit making. XO
Lovely art!!!
Giulietta is gorgeous…….and the effects on her picture are really pretty as well. Glad she’s got the focus today – she deserves it – it’s nice that she’s letting her sister have more “prime time” since she’s not feeling her best these days. That’s sisterly love to the MAX!
Hugs, Sammy
That is cool art of Giulietta – I’m glad you gave her today’s post.
What a pawsome artwork of Giuletta! We agree: it really looks vintage like you tried to do.
Biscuit kneaders are often busy here too. If I hear purrs and they are not on my lap, then they are kneading away on a soft bed, MOL!
HELLO YOUR ROYAL FLOOFINESS!!
