Thankful Thursday

Our two main thankfuls this week come from Lisbeth and Stinky/Sawyer.

Lisbeth is over the moon when she read the comment from her boyfriend, Angel Charles, on her Sunday Selfie post. It made me a little weepy. Rather than linking back to it, Lisbeth said I could share the comment here.

My beautiful Ms Lisbeth, I am dictating this message to my mom. You(r) photo is beyond gorgeous. You are the most beautiful girl that I have ever met and I was so lucky to have had you in my life. I miss you terribly and am watching over you so that you stay safe. Millions of soft angel kisses my sweet Ms Lisbeth.
I will love you forever,

Stinky (aka Sawyer) is delighted and thankful to have been able to spend Best Friends Day with his girlfriend and best friend, Periwinkle (aka Noelle). If you missed their adventure on Tuesday, you can read it here.

All the Kitties Blue are thankful that Dad Tom has been working hard to get their catio all clean and spiffed up for them to enjoy lots of summertime snoozing.

As you can see, Cooper Murphy takes his snoozing very seriously!

All of us here at the House of Blue Cats appreciate and are thankful for your friendship and support.

Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s pal, Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful, and then click on Brian’s badge to be transported to his blog, where you can enter your link.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

I always look forward to poetry day with Angel Sammy and Teddy, but sometimes the inspiration photos are a bit challenging. This photo absolutely cracked me up, but I had a little trouble pulling the poem together. I had some great ideas based on my childhood. I like beets now, but as a toddler…not so much! My Grandma Mary (my mom’s mom) taught me how to do raspberries, which I used to spray those beets all over the white kitchen curtains! My mom was not amused.

Anyhoo, my poem, which shares the theme of that beet fiasco is below. I hope it gives you a chuckle.

Holy moly, this food is gross.
I swear it tastes like dirty toes.
If I swallow, I just may barf,
Which would probably break Mom’s heart.
I know she made this especially for me,
But I’d rather have Chef Boyardee.
If I could talk, I’d tell my mommy,
I’d be fine with some lean pastrami.
But as I’ve learned no words to share,
I believe I’ll rub this in my hair.

What a precious comment from Angel Charles.
Love the poem, but love even more your recollection of spraying beets all over the white curtains!

That poem is hilarious and PERFECT for sharing a food memory from your past! Kids have amazingly “pliant” faces and this photo is proof that even if you can’t talk, you can make sure everyone knows JUST HOW YOU FEEL! HAHA Love the catio shot of Coop enjoying a steamy afternoon on his “shelf”.

Hugs, Pam
