Caturday Art: Pastel Puss
Creating the art for today’s blog hop required many steps. I began in LunaPic with a variety of edits to the original photograph. Once I had what I liked I added the graphic overlay using piZap. I selected it as I liked how the dots in the graphic mimicked the dots making up the cat’s body. I added the frame using Picasa.
I am usually pleased with what I have created, but I believe this is one of my favorite entries to date. What do you think?
I am not going to share the original photograph, which I usually do. I know I am going to use the unaltered photo again in the future so want to hold it back. As I am doing that, it gives you the opportunity to guess which Kitty Blue this is. This could be a tough one. Dad Tom guessed three times without selecting the correct cat.
This is my entry in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. To enter art of your own and/or view the other submissions, click on Athena’s badge.
Attention Please
It’s time to put on your best smile and snap a selfie for tomorrow’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop taking place right here at The Cat on My Head. It will be hop number 113. You do not have to have a blog to enter. You can link to your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram account. And if you cannot enter tomorrow, that’s not a problem. The hop remains open through Thursday. Don’t forget, all anipals are always welcome regardless of species so invite all your critter friends to join us.
Until then…toodles and peace out.

Wow, we can see why that is one of your faves. Great artwork! 🙂
Is that Misty May?
Wow, abstracta-cat! Looks Kandinsky-esque! Cool!
Is it Lizbeth or Misty May? I really love what you did with this picture. I like the colors. They’re so cheerful and the design is just so fun.
To answer your question on our fill-ins if mom believes in the supernatural, it’s a little complex. Although I do, it’s in the context of believing that all things are in the hands of God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Within that context, I most definitely do.
We love the colors in this one.
Heh heh, it took awhile to find a cat in thee. Maybe it’s Misty May.
Beautiful!
We guess it’s of one of them. (MOL!)
Beautiful! This picture is very relaxing to look at. Purrs…
Beautiful pastel abstract. Love it! 🙂
I love love love art that uses pastel colors, and this is no exception. So pretty! I am going to take a shot in the dark and guess that this is Calista Jo. Purrs, and we’ll see you for selfies tomorrow (even active Eddy sort of sat still for one!)!
That is probably the best one yet! I love it. I would have thought it took a while to do as it looks complex but lovely.
Very pretty pastel art!!
That did come out great, it took me a minute to find the kitty. I think it is Lily Olivia, not sure though. You should get this printed on a canvas. XO
That’s very fancy and very pretty!
WOW….great photo. Wish my mom was that creative. The choice of colors are beautiful.
A Trillion, Billion hugs and kisses to my love Ms. Lisbeth Blue. Love and miss you my beauty.
