Sparks
I am a huge fan of former First Lady, Michelle Obama. She is an intelligent and articulate individual and did much for promoting good health in our nation’s children.
When I found the quote I am using for today’s Spark it spoke to me. I have spent most of my life facing challenges due to my neuro-muscular disease. It has often been frustrating, but I do think I am stronger for it.
I used this sweet photo of Sawyer to present the Spark, as he too, as you all know, faces challenges. For some time he had been enjoying some longer spells between seizures. Lately, that has not been the case. He had a seizure yesterday afternoon just five days after his last one. Even with this, he is so much better. He’s had no trips to the emergency vet in several months.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
This fun-loving, tabby duo will return tomorrow with the next installment in their adventure series. It is Periwinkle’s week to post, and I know she and Stinky will be looking forward to seeing you at her home at Friends Furever.
We like and admire her a lot too. That quote is so true.
Great spark! I read her book and loved it. Sawyer is a cutie. XO
Both you and Sawyer are so amazing, we’re so thankful we have you in our lives – you both show such strength. Best to all and thank you for that wonderful spark.
That really is a wonderful quote and we all do love you sweet Sawyer, you’ve an amazing dude.
We are always purring for Sawyer.
That’s an excellent Spark. We hope Sawyer’s seizures become few and far between…and that if and when he does have one, it’s mild and he quickly recovers. Purrs…
We are continuing to senf purrayers and POTP to sweet Sawyer and also to Raz. That is a great Spark.
A positive attitude helps get through life’s difficulties. I hope Sawyer’s seizures get less frequent, or at least not too severe and needing hospital care. It’s really a difficult situation to have a chronically ill kitty and you’re managing it well.
Beautiful spark. Mrs Obama is a great lady, she’s very inspiring. Purrs
darling cat!
I have to agree with that sentiment. Purrs for Sawyer to have fewer siezures.

As a show of support for his buddy Sawyer, Raz had a seizure last night too 🙁 He’s been going 3+ months between. This was only 7 weeks. We hope BOTH boys go a LONG time without the evil seizure monster visiting.
Periwinkle can’t WAIT for tomorrow’s adventure.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle (who thinks that photo is SUPER SWEET!)
I pray for Sawyer every day. I’m glad he’s better, but I wish the seizures would go away. Bless is heart.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Sawyer. My best to your siblings and a big hug to your mom. ♥
I have thought about Sawyer many times and wondered how he is doing..hoping very hard that his episodes are fewer or gone. XX
That’s a great quote an an adorable photo of Sawyer. This quote works well for a couple of our kitties too. Sorry to hear Sawyer had another seizure yesterday, but that’s great he didn’t have to go to the vet. Sending lots of love and purrs to him, and Sampy sends extra special kisses to Astrid. We all send love and hugs!
Mom and I were fans of the Obamas – they had a lot more class than some that’s for sure. Love that quote too – purrfect in fact. We’re sorry Sawyer had another seizure yesterday so soon after the last but as you say…it was shorter and less severe and NO VET which is a bit of progress. We still send him POTP and prayers every single day! Happy Monday.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom
I think that Barack and Michelle Obama were an excellent President and First Lady.
I am sorry that Sawyer’s seizures are more frequent, but glad they are not as severe as they were.
I like Mrs Obama she’s awesome. I am also a big fan of sweet young Sawyer. He is a fine, and lucky, young cat.
