by Janet Blue on April 16, 2015

Like most of our friends, we were so thankful when spring finally arrived. So for Thankful Thursday, I am sharing a few highlights from the garden. We have lived in our home for 30 years. For at least 15 of those I have planted 100s upon 100s of daffodils, tulips and irises in various colors and sizes as well as many other flowers. This is some of what is blooming now: daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and dogwood trees.

springToday is the last day to enter our giveaway to win one of five copies of the book, The Good, the Bad and the Furry by British humor writer, Tom Cox. To enter leave a Comment prior to midnight EDT by clicking here. U.S. residents only please as this is the U.S. launch of the book. So beautiful. Mom is jealous. She has been buying plants for the pots on our patio but that is the extent of it. We have a low fence and the deer eat everything they can reach.

You all have such a beautiful garden! The Mom is pining. She would love to have a garden like that, but our yard doesn’t get much sun and she has the opposite of a green thumb – she has killed every plant/flower she’s ever had! One day she will have a beautiful garden…
Sampy sends as many kisses to Astrid as there are flowers in the whole world. We are all sending lots of love!

Those flowers are so beautiful!!

We love the dogwood! We do see them here in our area, but they are not too common, and even less spectacular , must be we are at the edge of the climate zone for them to thrive well.
