Awww Mondays
Sawyer’s always awwwdorable, but particularly so when he’s eaten his entire breakfast—a rare occurrence—and saved some noms on his nose for later!
Sawyer will be joining the Awww Mondays blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus. If you would like to be a part of the hop, click on the Awww badge.
Sparks
We are enjoying one of the prettiest autumns this year. The leaves have had the most vibrant colors. I decided to use a photo of our crepe myrtle tree as the background for my Spark. It had begun to lose some leaves when Dad Tom took the photo, but I think you’ll agree that the bright orange leaves are stunning.
The beauty of this autumn made me think of how humans currently are not being very good stewards of our earth. That is what prompted this Spark from environmental activist, Wendell Berry.
I thought you might be interested to know the history of the tree. Dad Tom and I planted it 25 years ago in memory of my friend, Lynn, who passed away that year (1998) from malignant melanoma. She was three months short of her 40th birthday. We now have a small crepe myrtle growing up from one of the original’s roots. Three of the Kitties Blue sisters, Daphne, Thelma and Louise, are buried beneath Lynn’s tree.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
It’s time again for our two fun-loving tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, to take-off on another adventure. With it being Halloween, it might be something spooky! Stinky is busy planning it, which means you can find them right here tomorrow. I know the kitties will be looking for you, so don’t forget to pop on over tomorrow.
Thanks for joining us today.
Saving a bit of noms on your nose for later is a creative idea.
Sawyer, you made me smile so big!
I really like your Spark, and the beautiful tree. That was quite a delightful idea, planting a tree in memory of your friend.
Looks like you enjoyed the yum Sawyer! That was a most wonderful Spark!
Awwww…Sawyer is a cutie. And that is a wonderful spark. XO
Dear Sawyer,
I would be happy to lick those noms clean for you!
Love and whisker kisses,
Noelle
Awww on sweet and handsome Sawyer. He’s always such a joy to see.
I love that tree. Beautiful and such a fond memory for you.
I’ll see you tomorrow for a spooky adventure.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥
If Sawyer wanted, we could help him with his breakfast in the morning…uh, Mom says no. Xena
What a gorgeous tree in it’s fall glory! It’s good to have that living memory of your dear friend.
Beautiful crepe myrtle and wonderful SPARK. We think Sawyer is keeping that snack available for later – very smart of him to do that!!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Oh, what an incredible tree and memory of your dear friend. Love crepe myrtle …a brilliant tree.
That is a gorgeous tree, though it’s sad about your friend. I so agree with that spark, there’s no second planet for us, we’d best take care of the one we have. Oops Sawyer, you cutie, you missed a little tasty morsel there!
A most beautiful tree, indeed, and how sweet to have a baby one, now too.
That is a good spark.
Sawyer did you forget to sweep your tongue over your sweet little nose?? MOL!
