Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
As I do each Thursday, I am joining with Angel Sammy and Teddy at Two Spoiled Cats and posting a poem based on a photo they provided last week. The inspiration photo for today’s poetry challenge represents two things I truly hate…the mall and crowds. I wouldn’t be a part of this scene, even if everything at the mall was being given away for free. Even the photo makes me feel anxious, so I didn’t spend a lot of time writing a poem. I only did a haiku, which is below.

If you’d like to join in writing a poem each Thursday, but don’t feel confident to do so, try this site: Shadow Poetry for tips on writing all different types of poetry. Whether you participate or not, visit Two Spoiled Cats (by clicking on the badge above) to read Sammy’s poem. He transmits it from the Rainbow Bridge each week, and each poem is a masterpiece. Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day we count our blessings and tell you for what we are thankful. We have many things for which we are thankful, including a warm home, especially with that 15 inches of snow that fell a few days ago.
One of our thankfuls came as the result of a surprise. As a member of the PetSafe Panel of Influencers, I completed very brief, on-line surveys for several months. Each completion earned me an entry in a prize drawing. And Kitties Blue won a prize: the PetSafe® ScoopFree® Ultra Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box. I’d never been a fan of these self-cleaning boxes previously, but I am liking this one a lot. The design is much improved from older models.
The photo is of the original design. The one we received is so new, I couldn’t find a photo on-line and haven’t had an opportunity to take a photo of ours. We actually have ours set up as pictured. The one we received has a cover with a top entry that most of Kitties Blue would never fit through.
Some of the crew have been using it. The litter that must be used with it is quite different than the clay they like, so I wasn’t certain they would get in it, but some are. This will move into the addition when and if it is ever completed. The snow has put that on hold again.
Concats on your win! That’s pretty cool! We didn’t think that many people shopped in person any more! Whoa!
OMC! The mom is totally with you on this. No way would she be out in that shopping crowd!
My human thinks the big crystals are too much like rocks for us to use happily. When we use crystal litter, it’s more of the sandy type. Otherwise, we would use this litter box in a second! My human loves the self-cleaning boxes because she can’t be in every room all day and our house is on three different levels.
That was a great poem! And congrats on winning the petsafe box 🙂 XO
frankly I love the shopping mall but I like the bank even better 🙂 dai$y
we iz offline fora while sew we wood like ta wish everee one a most merree Christmas anda happee healthee total lee awesum 2019 ♥♥♥
Mom totally agrees with you about the malls! She got most of her shopping done online, too. What she bought in stores she got them earlier in the month. CONCATs on winning the PetSafe prize! [paw clapping]
You and I feel the same way about the mall and crowds. Exactly the same.
What a great win. I’m glad it’s working so far. I’m guessing they will all use it at some point. We can hope.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
MOL we love your haiku!! That litterbox sounds cool but Mom has always been concerned that we would be scared of automatic ones.

Hey, cool win! Let us know how it works long-term for your kitties.
We no longer exchange gifts at Christmas, so I have no shopping to do…yay!
Mom never goes to the Malls during holiday seasons. She tries to get int all before the holidays or does it on-line. XX
Whew! I’m with you on scenes like that. Yuck! Definitely not worth it. I must be getting old! LOL! The pic looks like the Millennial Mall in Orlando! HA! Probably not, but still! I can find pretty much anything I want or need on my trusty computer and, more often than not, at a much better price.
The peeps here avoid the malls all the time! That was a super cool litter box win. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Oh boy! WordPress has the snow turned on now!! We agree with you about malls and crowds – Mom hates them and that’s why she does her shopping online or in the small street shops we have in town here. We thought it was a very cool photo though that Angel Sammy gave us as a stepping stone to a poem about this time of year. Have a great Thursday and again – as always – thanks for playing along with us on poetry day!
Hugs, Teddy
Petcretary totally agrees with you about the mall with those awful crowds. I don’t get anxious, but I just abhor the fact that you are constantly bumping into peeps and you can’t move around quickly…she hates slow walking,MOL! And crowds like that just show what kind of greed we have in our society she thinks.
How cool that you won one of those litter boxes! We had one of the original ones, but Angel-Suki was so curious about it that she ruined it, MOL!
