Wordy Wednesday
Losing friends is always devastating but when they fly off to the bridge in bunches, it is particularly difficult. We continue to grieve for Mau. When Allie decided to join him, our grief doubled.
But Allie isn’t the only kitty who received angel wings last week. Good friends, Polar Bear (15 And Meowing) and Budd (The Canadian Cats) also left for the Rainbow Bridge. Normally I would have featured them on our Sunday blog hop, but Allie, being family, deserved her own post.
Polar Bear was rescued from the streets as an adult by Ellen. That was in 2008. The fact that he had health issues then and was deaf, was not a deterrent to Ellen and David, who added him to their family. Polar Bear had a loving home and family for the past 12 years until more recent health issues caused his decline. Rest in Peace, Polar Bear. You will be missed.
Budd was the brother to Tyebe and Shoko. Though, he only became a member the family two years ago; Tyebe and he became fast friends. They enjoyed spending time in the yard and exploring the lane. Budd had not been feeling well and stopped eating and drinking. His mom and dad, Jean and Bill, helped him to the bridge on Thursday. Good-bye Budd. Cooper Murphy promises to look after Tyebe for you.
These boys had many friends and followers in the blogosphere. They both will be missed and remembered always. By now most of you have probably left your condolences for Polar Bear’s and Budd’s human parents. If not, you can find links to their blogs above.
Though we have been super wordy today, we are going to hop with Comedy Plus. You can do the same by clicking on the badge below.

It’s heartbreaking that so many of friends have been departing for the Bridge.
Thank you for the beautiful image of Polar Bear. There have been too many losses lately. XO
It does seem to have been a very difficult time for so many families lately. Purrs to all.
Too many of our friends have left us. It makes us sad. Purrs to their families….
It has been so sad with so many leaving.
We are so happy to see these beautiful souls remembered for all the love they gave and were given. When a cat comes into our homes they become a part of our hearts forever. Oh darn we have tears again which is just how it should be when we lose a friend
Too much saddness.
The Florida Furkids with paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
What a wonderful memorial to Polar Bear and Budd. These furries left us far too soon and took a piece of our heart with them. We were so honoured to have known them even for a short time. The joy Budd brought to this family was immeasurable. I can still hear his manly snore coming from the cat pole beside the desk.

It’s been so tough and sad lately, we can hardly stand it.
Let’s hope that new kitties will find homes, as these Angel kitties fly away to Heaven.
Way to many of late. Way to many. Makes my heart hurt and my eyes leak.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big healing hugs to all. ♥
Beautiful post, so sorry for all the losses. Tears for days.🌈😿🙏😪💜
Our pets are such a huge part of our lives – sadly they just don’t live as long as we want them to sometimes. Their lives are so much shorter than most human lives are and we have to go through these losses more often. It’s the hardest thing though to lose a little life that has meant so very much for however long they were part of OUR lives. We put so much of ourselves into them – when we lose them it’s just devastating. It’s even more difficult when several friends, or we ourselves, lose a pet within days of each other and with as much sadness as there is in the world right now from other things, it’s just magnified. We will miss all our friends who have left – they were important parts of their families’ lives and ours as well. We are one big family after all. YOUR LOSS is OUR LOSS. Sending hugs of comfort to everyone who has lost a pet family member. Hearts ache and memories live on forever.
Love, Pam
As wonderful as the blogosphere is – ESPECIALLY the Cat Blogosphere – this is the hardest part – our friends crossing the RB. It’s funny how attached we get to cats we never met in person – but love like we’ve known them our entire lives.
So many kitties gone! </3
There has been much sadness among the families of Blogville…way too much:(
I did not know about Budd, I have visited. it broke my heart.
Wonderful remembrance post. xoxo
