Thankful Thursday
Each Thursday we like to reflect on the things for which we are thankful. Cooper Murphy starts us off this week. He’s thankful for earning two more badges at Cat Scouts. Scouts have not had the opportunity to earn badges for a long time, due to the sudden death of Denmaster’s husband, her relocation and ill health. We are all thankful that she feels well enough to participate in Scouts again.
All of us are super thankful for a couple warmer days after another frigid day on Monday with light snow and sleet. We are really hoping the last of our snow will melt.
Kitties Blue and I are particularly thankful for all of our followers, supporters and friends. Being a part of the pet blogging community is a blessing. Everyone is so kind, considerate and friendly.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. If you would like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful then click on his badge to link up.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Time for poetry again. Each week we try to join Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) for their poetry challenge. They provide an inspiration photo, and we create an accompanying poem.
Here’s today’s photo followed by my poem.
Changing Times
Upper class ladies from the 1880s—
Mother and daughter, sisters or just friends
Immortalizing their fashion and style?
Smiles uncommon in formal portraits of the time
Make these ladies look unfriendly and austere.
Today they’d take a selfie while smiling ear to ear!
Such a radical change in a century and a half.

I actually have some photos like this of relatives; though, they were not dressed so smartly!
To participate in Thursday poetry, click on the badge on the left. You’ll be taken to Two Spoiled Cats where you will find next week’s inspiration photo. While visiting, please read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy each week from the Rainbow Bridge, and it’s always terrific!
Thanks for joining us today. We’ll be back tomorrow with some fill-ins.
Congrats on the badges Cooper ! I hope we can get badges for the crafts too. Great poem. XO
Congrats on your badges, Cooper Murphy. I bet they will look great on your uniform. ~Ernie

Those are all really good thankfuls and we’re glad the Denmaster is feeling better. That was a very cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Love your poem, but if you’re wearing a corset as they are you’re not going to smile much. I remember my grandmother and her corset. Awful contraption.
I’m glad I quit being a lurker here and finally commented on your posts. Best decision ever.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to you. ♥
That’s a good poem. I’m happy the Scouts are back on track and for a break in the bad weather.
Raz is happy that things at Cat Scouts are active again. Raz enjoyed getting new badges and the craft classes are all fun too.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
Yay for the scouts being back in swing, even if we can’t join cause we’re dogs… xox Xena, Lucy and Chia
Well, Isabelle and Matilda there sure do have the fashion going on. Is that a remote in Isabelle’s hand? LOL. Good poem!
I’m happy to be earning badges again too at Scouts! Good job on Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge too – that old photo conjures up a lot of ideas for poetry doesn’t it. We love yours!!!!!!
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom too)
Oh, so glad for the Scoutmaster and so thankful for the badges and so glad that the virus appears to be getting weaker, but is not yet GONE so keep your masks on, according to the CDC and many other scientists. Let’s hope the worst is over and no new baddies show up.
