Kitties keep their eyes on a squirrel. Railing (L to R): squirrel, Astrid, Calista. Deck (L to R): Giulietta, Lisbeth & Fiona
This post is in honor of my squirrelly friend, Mary Jane, who alerted me to this event. She is a lover of all things squirrel and my local authority on squirrels.
With today’s inauguration, I was afraid this special day might be overlooked. Since I have oodles of squirty (as we like to call them at the House of Blues) photos, I wanted to give a shout-out to these furry rodents. They provide hours of entertainment for all my kitties, so I’m hoping my fur balls won’t mind a short post that does not totally revolve around them.
Great cats and squirrels. I love your porch.
I hate those ugly rats! They’ve chewed holes in our roof and moved into our walls. Repeated attempts to repair our home doesn’t work and the price to get rid of them permanently is astronomical! However, we fear that they’ll chew through wires and set our house on fire. D%mn the &(^#ing squirrels! HATE THEM! They don’t even pay rent.

Oh Joyce, Don’t get me wrong, the squirrels have done their share of damage around here, but if I keep them fed, they seem to keep out of trouble. And it makes my fur kids so happy to watch them!
Oh, what a lovely surprise that you would honor my beloved squirrels on your blog! These industrious creatures captured my heart as a child when I started feeding birds. I think it was their tail that intrigued me since it has so many uses and looks divine to touch. I did pet a squirrel tail once at Disney World; now that was magical!
We appreciate watching squirrels, and our head peep even raised an orphaned one once. The cats she had at the time thought she was just fattening the little guy up for dinner and were most disappointed when she gave the squirrel to the wildlife rehab specialist for release.
Wow ! Look like fun time just start !
May I join you guys ????

Love the picture of all the kitties looking intently at the visiting squirrel. 🙂
Gosh, for a minute I thought it had something to do with politics! Squirrels rock!
