Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
When Stinky heard about this week’s inspiration photo provided by Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats) for this week’s poetry challenge, he had the idea that it would make for a fun adventure with Periwinkle. Unfortunately he misjudged the situation, but he did write a poem about it.
The Misadventure
Oh my heavens, watch your tail
Before it’s stepped on by that female.
What’s with all this jumping around?
Is this a modern dance or a hoedown?
Some guy just stepped on my paw!
If I see who it was, he’ll feel my claw!
I think this adventure was a bad idea.
I should have checked out modern dance on wikipedia.
Let’s skedaddle before we’re permanently crushed.
I declare this adventure a total bust—
Except Periwinkle did get to dress up!

Thankful Thursday
Kitties Blue and I always look forward to participating in Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop.
Sawyer is up first this week with a thankful, which goes to his girlfriend Noelle’s mom, Sharon. She recently took her kitty, Reesie, to a blessing of the animals along with photos of brofur, Raz, Noelle and Sawyer. Sawyer only went one week between seizures, and so he needs all the blessings he can get. It was so thoughtful of Mom Sharon to do that for him.
I am thankful for winning a Van Ness Pets Calm Carrier with EZ Load Slide Out Drawer, Hard-Sided Travel Crate for Cats and Small Dogs. It is big enough for two kittens or a cat up to 20 pounds, which means it is big enough for Cooper Murphy. Woohoo! And we now have enough PTUs for all of the Kitties Blue, which gives me peace of mind.
I am thankful that Audrey slept next to me on Tuesday night. That was the first time since the kittens have had their freedom at night that either has spent the night sleeping with Dad Tom and me.
Kitties Blue and I are thankful for your comments, support, following and friendship.

Nice blog and thanks for the above article and also sites it helps us to get good back links
You have a lot to be thankful for!
I am sorry that Sawyer had such a short interval between seizures…hope the blessing he got will give him longer intervals once again.
That poem made me giggle, I think those dancers would have a disaster if they made a misstep and landed on a tail or paw…oh-oh!
That was a nice poem and lots of very nice thankfuls. Purrs to Sawyer from all of us. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That was a fun poem. I always have Sawyer in my prayers. XO
I love it when you add the kitties to your poem. Well done.
Your thankful things made me smile.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and and a big hug to mom. ♥
Thank COD neither one of us got trampled by that dance group. I DID have a lot of fun with our little adventure and I loved wearing that pretty pink dress!!
We were happy to bring Sawyer’s photo along with us to the blessing. We hope he goes back to longer times between seizures.
Mom looked up that carrier and it’s pretty cool looking. Living where we do, we always have to have plenty of carriers in case one of those nasty “H” word things comes our way.
Periwinkle with love and whisker kisses to Stinky and Noelle sends love and whisker kisses to Sawyer.

That guy on the right looks like he’s going for the skeleton look, maybe for Halloween? But you have to admit, they all have muscular legs from the dancing. We’re going to miss the Blessing of the Animals for Chia this year (and boy, could she use it!) It’s the city Octoberfest, and the hubby is leading the 7 piece band there, with me and my older son attending, too.
Still sending prayers for Sawyer.

Good poem and interesting photo! More fun to watch that dance from a safe distance though!
She looks so adorable there in her pink tutu I can hardly stand not squeeeeeeing.
Love your poem for that wacky photo Angel Sammy gave all of us for inspiration. I sure wouldn’t want to be on stage with that bunch – one wrong step could mean disaster for my tail! My Mom says the only cat carrier that would work for me would be a dump truck – I think she’s kidding but who knows??!!
Hugs, Teddy
GOOD poem, and wow, those legs! Mama would like a couple of those….
