Mauricio is our regular yard and home guard, but he decided to give Misty May that privilege a few days ago
.
To create today’s art, I first used the Watercolor Portrait filter from Dreamscope. I then loaded the photo into PicMonkey and added one of the weave overlay textures, the border and the picture corners.
The original photo was taken by the kitties’ dad with a wide-angle lens when Misty May was lounging on our front walk. Unfortunately she’s wearing her usual grumpy expression.

Allie’s and Mau’s Adventure
Allie’s brofur Raz and his girlfriend, Madi, surprised Allie and Mau with a trip to celebrate their engagement. They traveled to Asheville, North Carolina, in a vintage car. They stayed at the famed Grove Park Inn. To see their adventure, click here.
Sunday Selfie Blog Hop
Tomorrow is week #92 of our blog hop. It’s also National Chocolate Chip Day. Maybe you can think of a way to include that in your selfie. I think I’ll just nibble some chocolate while creating and posting our selfie. No volunteers yet to be your host. Guess you’ll just need to check in tomorrow. Hope to see you then.
Misty May, you posed so beautifully for the art work. I can still tell it’s you after the artwork is done. A very sophisticated kitty too.

Ooo, I like what you did with this! 😀
You are so creative. You have a good eye for this kind of art. I admire that. XO
Wow, that is a work of art!
Love your Caturday Art. We think Misty May’s “grumpy” look is quite cute 🙂
GRUMPY???? As if! Darling Misty May is thinking deep thoughts about her date with MOI in July. My darling girl would *never* be grumpy! XOXOXOXO
That’s a great effect, Mom Janet and Misty May! And we Misty May’s grumpy expression just makes her an even better guard. 🙂
You have upped your game in the art department! Great one.
I love how you blend so many effects together! So cool!
Misty May looks pretty serious there. Nobuddy is gonna get by her if she’s on guard duty.
Tomorrow is National Straw Hat Day too!
What a purretty guard. You’re doin’ a great job.
Luv ya’
Dezi
Misty May looks awesome. I am so jealous over that wide-angle lens (and the good photography)! Your artwork looks so neat. Great ideas on both the watercolor and the overlay.
I read your post on Fiona. That’s great that she’s improving. I understand the process very well. We cared for our CRF kitty, Simba, for close to four years. He eventually had to have daily fluids but did so well on them and he also had to have the phosphorous binder in his food. I hope she continues to do well.
We have to miss the selfie hop tomorrow unfortunately.
Great art ! Purrs
The original wide-angel photo is great and I don’t think you look grumpy at all.
Your art effect is unique and makes a great piece of artwork.
We love the art and wide-angle photo!
Purrs xx

Purrz From Katie Kitty Too
Maybe it’s not a “grumpy” expression, it’s just her “strictly business” expression?!?

I love how this came out! You always know which effects to combine to create such amazing images. And, great job on guard duty, Misty May! I bet everybuddy feels super safe under your care. We’ll see you for selfies tomorrow!
Such beautiful art! We love Misty May. She doesn’t look grumpy to us at all!
Well guards have a serious job so they usually have serious expressions – Misty May looks ready to protect her family and her surroundings! As for the artwork – it’s fabulous…..you always come up with interesting combinations of effects for a REAL work of art!
Hugs, Sammy
We like how the guard has that serious look…MOL!
We enjoy seeing all the effects you use each week.
You always put together such interesting art! This one doesn’t even look like it is from a photo.
