MICE BUCKET CHALLENGE UPDATE & DONATION RECIPIENTS

We were so excited to pick Mom’s pocket of 90 green papers at the conclusion of our Mice Bucket Challenge. That amount was based on the number of comments we received : 59, and the number of mice in our bucket: 29 plus one Mom forgot to add.

As promised, thirty green papers will be going to ALS. The remaining $60 will be divided between two worthy organizations selected by the winner of the random drawing from the comment-a-thon and the individual who guessed the correct number of mice in the bucket.

The winner of the random drawing was McGuffy Ann Morris from the blog, McGuffy’s Reader. She selected Alley Cat Allies to receive the donation. It is being made in honor of her kitty, Chloe Jo, who is recovering from surgery to remove a stone from her bladder. You can see her photo in our sidebar under the heading, “Purrs & Prayers Needed.”

The opportunity to select the organization to receive the final donation of $30 went to Cat and Lisa Phillips. They were the first and only ones to guess the exact number of mice in our bucket. Cat is a furiend of Mau’s from Cat Scouts.

Cat and her mom, Lisa, selected Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary in St. Pauls, NC, to receive the donation. It will be made in memory of Pokey, the beagle, who Mom Lisa says adopted Cat before she did.

To everyone who left comments on our Mice Bucket post and guessed how many mice were dumped on us, we are purring a huge, “THANK YOU.”
