Thankful Thursday
We are overflowing with thankfuls this week.
Stinky asked to start. He wants to let those who joined Periwinkle and him for their last adventure just how grateful he is. His alter ego, Sawyer, has been having a seizure every six days for the past several weeks, so he is so grateful to have these distractions.
I have the most thankfuls. Last Thursday I completed my 900th Peloton ride and got a shout-out from instructor, Emma Lovewell. I have already completed 10 rides toward my 1000.
I was the sole First Commentor on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats and I was one of the (though not first) Right Guessers. I got these two cool badges.
The Cat on My Head earned two top blog recognitions. One is from CatPet Club. They named us one of the Ten Best Blogs by Enthusiastic Cat Moms as part of their 50 Cat Lover Blogs We ❤️.
The Cat on My Head also was named a Top Cat Blog at WildernessCat.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by our friend Brian. We think recalling for what we are thankful each week is important. It helps us remember how lucky and blessed we are. If you agree, post on your blog for what you are thankful. Then click on Brian’s badge and link up.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
We are back with another poem today as part of Teddy and Angel Sammy’s weekly poetry challenge. Here’s today’s inspiration photo and my poem.
I recognize so many of these items, the Beatles & Elvis albums, saddle shoes, Mickey Mouse ears, a lava lamp and so much more. If I was a compulsive saver, these items could be mine.
Memories of Things Past
At first glance this looks like chaos
Possibly the attic of a hoarder.
But look carefully. Each object…
A precious memento arranged
With purpose in a specific group
Mostly by stages of this person’s life.
By examining each we can deduce
Who this stranger is: someone who is
Nostalgic with a wistful affection for
The happy memories of the past.

Wow, lots to be thankful for at your place!
I like your new background.
Great poem. COmgrats on all those Peloton rides! And for blog recognition. I am sorry that Sawyer’s having seizures so often. XO
Concatulations on all the good news ! We hadn’t known about Sawyer’s seizures though and will continue sending purrayers and POTP.
We’re sorry for Sawyer ! We’re purring for him. Purrs
Way to go on your exercise. I don’t know what kind it is, but that’s a lot of work.
Prayers for Sawyer on those seizures. Tell him that I love him.

Oh boy. We’re sorry to hear Sawyer is having frequent seizure. So frustrating for him…and you too. Congrats on your awards, and for completing that Peleton milestone. The mom sees those commercials and thinks those workouts can’t be easy.
That’s a whole lot of Thankfuls!! We sure wish Sawyer could go longer between seizures.
Great poem. Mom says she recognized a lot of those things too.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
We’re thankful that Sawyer’s seizures are spacing apart, come on Sawyer, work up to 7 days, then 8…then longer. That was a cute poem too! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m so sorry to hear about Sawyer and his seizures. It makes me sad.
I love your poem to go with that picture. It’s so true. The more I look at that picture, the more I see of things that I could claim throughout my life. How fun!
It sounds like a had a good week to be thankful for and I hope Sawyer goes a whole week without a seizure so you can have even more to be thankful for next week.
Congrats again on the Teaser wins! Lots of things to be thankful for but we’d like VERY MUCH to be thankful that Sawyer’s seizures would either go away OR at least become less frequent. Your poem for Poetic Thursday is GRAND…..when we saw this photo it really just popped with memories – it was a fun one for poetry. Thanks for being poetic with us every week.
Love, Teddy and Mom
Yes indeed! So much to be thankful for! Concats on those awards, and on being a firstie too!
I am purring all the time for Sawyer…and petcretary adds her pawyers.
