Sunday Selfies: Week #207
I actually was going to do a selfie today for my lovely wife Allie. Unfortunately, Astrid had other plans. She likes me and was hoping I’d give her some attention.
Of course, she ended up upstaging me. With her big mug front and center, I was in no mood to try again for a selfie. If you look closely, you will see a mini-photobomber behind me and above my ear. He’s clueless and had no idea I was trying to take my selfie.
I am hoping that those of you joining us did a much better job than I did at capturing your adorableness. You do realize that each Sunday we post the cutest animals on the internet. You definitely don’t want to miss out on that. If you need a few tips for hopping with us, here are some tips our mom put together.
- The link to add your selfie to the hop is below.
- You also will find below the code to use if you’d like the hop to appear on your blog.
- Posting on Sundays is not necessary to join.
- You do not need to be a cat to enter. All anipals are welcome regardless of species.
- The hop remains open for entries through Thursday midnight.
- Please be so kind as to display our badge and/or link to The Cat on My Head.
On Friday another friend gained her wings. Lucy sustained an herniated disc and had to be helped to the Bridge.
Lucy lived with the kitties, sugar gliders and humans at Kitty Cat Chronicles. She joined the household about two-and-a-half years ago after living with Mom Emily’s parents (and Emily when she was younger). Lucy was 18 years old and loved life, especially traveling with the family’s adventure cats.
Rest in Peace, Lucy. You will always be loved and will be missed.
Purrs and paw-pats, Mau and all the Kitties Blue
Thank you for remembering Lucy on your Sunday Selfies post. We are missing her lots. Things just aren’t the same without her. Sampy sends 3495832094857934 kisses to Astrid, and we all send lots of love.
Mau, that really is frustrating, isn’t it…but um…did you hear the muffled MOL’s?? Tee-hee…
Sorry you didn’t get to send your selfie to Allie…but you know there is always next time!
We happen to love photobombs! Too cute! 😀
Oh! And kissies to Miss MM from her Spitty XOXOXO
Mau, You are very handsome and mancatly, but you should NEVER ignore a LadyCat asking for your attention! Honestly, I thought you was a gentleman!
We are sorry for our crummy selfie but I had to do the whole thing myself with no help at all from the absent Human and I was lucky I could even *FIND* a picture to use. I mean, since I am starving and all. Sheesh!
Oh, how cute! We love photobombing selfies! Mau, you were photobombed not by one but by two kitties! You still look good, though!
Such a beautiful photobomber that Astrid is!!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Ya’ll are adorable. Big hugs
Dezi and Raena
Guess you could call this an usie? With a photobomb…
We really can’t blame Astrid, Mau. You sure do look cute and cozy, and we want to cuddle you, too.
Our purrs, woofs, and prayers are with Lucy’s wonderful family.
Sometimes sisters and/or brothers will upstage you. Those things happen. Daisy Mae is an only child. Your selfie turned out good for you anyway. I joined your blog hop. Daisy Mae doesn’t do selfies so I rely on my wildlife for selfies hope that’s OK? Daisy Mae and I didn’t know Lucy but likes a great dog. Sorry you lost her.

WE all think that is a wonderful dual selfie of the two of you and almost a trio of selfies!
You may have been photo bombed, but it is a lovely double selfie.
In fact you did a double selfie !
What a great photo-bomb. Great catch.
Sorry about precious Lucy. It’s so hard when they leave us.
Have a purrfect Sunday Selfie. My best to your peeps. ♥
Hee! Hee! Mau, sometime you have to let siblings have their way.
I guess I have to think about photo bombers now! Ninja and I are interacting wonderfully Kozmo thinks I am a pest and hisses at me, I try to avoid the hairy slobbery beast and Jo Jo has been living inside the sofa since she arrived (I think she is wary of Ninja, she does not know him very well.
MOL ! It looks like Astrid really wanted to be featured today ! Purrs
I was sad to see Lucy left for The Bridge. That is a great selfie. XO
Astrid really wanted to take a selfie today! We’re glad you let her, Mau…although reluctantly.
I had to smile at that picture but that lasted only until I read about Lucy.
Well you two really are darn cute!
Cute selfie even if it is photobombed! So sorry to hear about Lucy.
MOL you need to check out OUR selfie post today. Guess photobombing was a big thing
your loving wife,
Sorry you got photobombed Mau, but we think Allie will be glad to see you even if Astrid took up most of the photo.
Being photo bombed is really the pits. I remember oh so well all the time Rumpy did it to my. I am running right over to meow at Lucy’s Family
Angel Mr Buttons
Ha ha ha Astrid- You go girl!
That’s so sad about Lucy.
Athena and Marie
Gosh Mau…..TWO photobombers for your selfie?? I should think that while it’s nice to be loved and admired by your furramily, they would allow you the chance to have a true “by myself selfie” once in a while! It’s that magnetic purrrsonality of yours I think! Happy Sunday.
If you hadn’t told me that story, I thought it was a Twofie, Astrid and Mau 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday 🙂 <3
I have a photo bomber in my selfie today too… and it’s not even Binga!
You know, as photo bombs go, that really isnt too bad…. me, the one I really want is when I get bombed by mice… hey ho, I can but dream, MOL
We think it’s an adorable photobomb! Just think of it as a dual effort or collaboration. MOL!
Hope you kits are having a great summer.
It looks like Astrid took a great selfie and Mau was the photobomber.
Oooh we HAD to laugh!!! Poor Mau * giggle *
I think this must be a………. * thinks * threefer – right?
Dang it, Mau, you got photobombed from all sorts of angles. It was a valiant selfie effort, though. 🙂
We are sad to hear about Lucy going to the Bridge. We are sending purrs and prayers for her family.
