Sunday Selfies: Week #146
I used the same method Giulietta used for her selfie yesterday. While sitting on Mom’s lap, I snapped my photo with the camera on her laptop. I cut off one of my ears, but overall, I think I did a fairly good job. The frame Mom selected this week is purrfect. I fancy myself a bit of a Clark Gable type and think I would make a great movie star. What do you think?
I certainly hope Allie likes it!
Today, however, is not all about me. Kitties Blue and I are dedicating this Sunday Selfies post to the memory of the beautiful Snowball from 15 And Meowing. Snowball received her angel wings two days ago right after returning home from a vet visit. She’d been in ill health for about ten days. So many friends have run to the Bridge lately. That makes our hearts hurt. We are certain Snowball had a huge welcoming party, which included our sisfur, Fiona. Snowball is the real star of today’s post.
Mom Pam, Teddy and angel Sammy (TwoSpoiledCats) made this lovely memorial badge for Snowball.
If you have not had the opportunity to visit Mom Ellen and Snowball’s fursibs, please stop by their blog and leave your condolences. I know how much your kind words will mean to them.
This is our Sunday Selfies blog hop, and it would sure put a big smile on all our faces if you’d join in the fun and invite your friends as well. If you are a first-timer, all anipals are welcome regardless of species. We absolutely love making new friends. If you don’t normally post on Sundays, that is not a problem. The hop remains open through Thursday.
The link to add your selfie to the hop is below. You will also find a code below that you can use to add the hop to your post if you’d like. If you could also include our badge and/or a link back to The Cat on My Head, all the Kitties Blue and Mom will be happy campers. Well, maybe not campers. If you read Friday’s post, you know our Mom hates camping.
We normally don’t post on Mondays, but we will be back tomorrow to wish all Americans a Happy Memorial Day and to send out a special thank you for a prize package we recently won from our pal, Bionic Basil. Until then…
Ciao and meow, Mau
What a fantastic photo Mau! You are a very handsome ManCat–but I will save my Kissies for Misty May 😉
We left a message for Snowball’s Mom Ellen on Facebook, but we are also going to go read about her too on their blog. We think the Birdge is full enough for now–the rest of us kitties need to stay down here for the time being, don’t you think?? XOXOXO & purrs from me and the Human
I love your selfie and I know Allie will too. Thank you for dedicating the selfies to my Angel Snowball, that means a lot to me. I am blessed to have such wonderful friends that understand that special bond we have with our beloved pets and how hard it is to let them go. XO and love to you all!
Mau I figure you for the Jimmy Stewart type. A little bit of a boob but in general a smart and sophisticated guy.
Snowball was a lovely cat and Ellen will miss her something terrible.

Love seeing that tuxedo face today. I’m featuring my bicolors this week, too!
Thank you for the notification about sweet Snowball. I hadn’t heard the news yet, and I’ll want to express sincere condolences. So many losses this year, but I know those losses are easier to bear with the help of friends.
Jean from Welcome to the Menagerie
What a grand selfie! Hmm, I was thinking more along the lines of Chaplin than Gable! 😆
So sorry to hear about Snowball. Prayers of comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Nice selfies, guys. We hope to re-join you soon! My A-Z and Bill’s rebuttal to it has taken up a lot of time. I have been writing, again…as you noticed. My faith in myself dipped for awhile. Sometimes the way others judge us affects the way we see ourselves. *heavy sigh*
Love you guys…hugs
Lookin’ good Mau. We were devastated to hear ’bout Snowball. We’re sendin’ lots of purrayers to awnty Ellen and da furmily. Big hugs

Great potential there, Mau, and I think there is maybe more Cary Grant than Mr Gable? Anyways I think both would have to be on the look out if you were on the screen….
we were so sorry to hear about Snowball. Lovely of you to pay homage here!
I did leave a comment earlier so maybe it went to spam. I was very sad to hear about Snowball and it is lovely that you dedicated this post to her.
That is a lovely selfie Mau.
I don’t know where our blog is going now, but will most likely make an occasional Sunday visit for your blog hop with old selfie photos from both boys.
Mau you do look like Clark Gable now that I see this side of you! In fact, I think you are more handsome than Mr Gable!
We have had our heart sadden many times recently. So much so that we cannot take anymore so please close the RB for awhile. Our deepest purrs now to Miss Ellen over the loss of her beautiful Snowball.
The Rainbow Bridge has seemed to be very active recently and all those dear ones are missed. Thankfully, as long as we remember them, a small part lingers. Blessings to all & may each of you have a wonderful day.
wonderful selfie and we are deeply saddened by Snowball’s passing and all of the others who have left. Too many.
There is certainly no chance your Allie will dislike this, Mauricio. You are famously handsome! And what a beautiful tribute to Snowball. We are keeping Ellen in our purrs and prayers.
You look great Mau and this is such a nice way to pay tribute to dear Snowball.
Mau, you could be a movie star with those good looks. 🙂
We are sad about Snowball too. We send lots of purrs to Miss Ellen. We know her heart is hurting.
So sad about Snowball….
It’s so sad about Snowball. Seems like too many friends have gone to the Rainbow Bridge lately.
You look great as a movie star, Mau! Very handsome and Clark Gable-ish.
Mau, I definitely see the Clark Gable resemblance, especially around the mustache. Of course, you are much more handsome.
We were so sad to learn about Snowball’s passing.

First of all Mau, you did a great selfie this Sunday….did your Mom fork over any special stuff from the SWAG BAG yet? Soon I hope…….secondly we are really very sad about Snowball leaving for the Bridge and know her Mom and Dad and her siblings miss her so. Angel Sammy and many other friends of all of us were there to welcome her…..I’m sure of that.
