Sunday Selfies; Week #174
We had our first snow of the season yesterday. Though it snowed most of the day, we only got about three inches. It was very pretty to watch coming down and looked great sprinkled on the trees and bushes like powdered sugar. In keeping with that theme, Mom has added a snow effect to our site and framed Mau’s selfie in a snow-themed frame.
Mau was thinking of his lovely wife Allie (Friends Furever) when he snapped this selfie. He has his paws crossed that she likes it.
A Shocking Discovery
Before we get down to the business of hopping, Mom asked us to share with you a surprising encounter she had yesterday. She went out to the front porch to retrieve a package and came face to face with a kitten, slightly larger than Sawyer. The kitten was solid grey and a Manx like Sawyer. It had on a frayed-looking pink color. The kitten bolted as soon as it saw Mom. It appears that Sawyer has a sibling. Where it is living and who put the collar on it is a mystery. Should Mom or Dad spot it again or if we find out any information about this kitty, we’ll share it.
Blog Hop
Alrighty then…it is time to hop. We know everyone is busy with holiday preparations, but we are hoping you can take just a few moments to snap a selfie and join the hop. If you are new to hopping, here are a few tips.
- The link to add your selfie to the hop is below.
- You also will find below the code to use if you’d like the hop to appear on your blog.
- Posting on Sundays is not necessary to join.
- You do not need to be a cat to enter. All anipals are welcome regardless of species.
- The hop remains open for entries through Thursday midnight.
- Please be so kind as to display our badge and/or link to The Cat on My Head.
Thanks for hopping.

Your snow day selfie is just precious! We just barely missed out on yesterday’s storm but we’re supposed to get a few inches on Tuesday 🙂
That is a very handsome selfie, Mau. I hope that kitten has a home and isn’t left out in the cold. Maybe her intuition helped her to track down her brother.
Memories of Eric and Flynn
That’s an adorable winter selfie postcard.
I hope you’re able to catch the little kitten. Poor thing out there in the cold.
Hmmmmmm Hope he has a good home. Great selfie. We don’t see da linky, but we posted. Big hugs
Luv ya’

Sweet selfie! I love that look.
About Sawyer…there could be a breeder in your area. Sadly, it could be a “backyard” breeder, which could be why they are not looking for him. You may want to look for Manx breeders in your area. Maybe even check with veterinarians for possibilities. It makes me sad that his sister tracked him down. She misses him. It makes me think of Bee & Clyde. That breaks my heart.
Enjoy Hissy! XO
that is a super festive and darling selfie! It appears Sawyer’s furmily has come to look for him!! Oh! I thought he was a Tabby because he looks like Cody’s twin!
Allie is going to LOVE your photo today Mauricio! And Sawyer has a sibling!?!
Wow! We hope your Mom gets a chance to see it again!
We are late this week (glares at Mommy).

I couldn’t do the Sunday Selfies because the site would not take my auto-crop!! So I gave up. But I do love doing them, and love even more the snow coming down on your nice photo and on this comments box! Love, Loulou
What a lovely selfie, Mau ! No doubt that Allie likes it ! We hope that kitten has home and don’t stay in the snow. Purrs

Sawyer has a sibling????? Mouses!!!! We look forward to learning more about this shocking discovery.
We got a tablespoon of snow and a LOT of rain Friday.
Mau is a handsome guy. Very nice selfie art. I hope that kitten will be OK, maybe you will have another sibling for Christmas??? XO
Hi Mauricio! It feels so good to be back for Selfie Sunday! You’re looking very handsome today. (We don’t know if we ever told you, but our mom just loves your mustache. It reminds her of a kitty she had years ago.) We got snow, too. Mommy has to go out and clean her car off – and she’s not happy! Happy Selfie Sunday!
That’s a terrific selfie Mau! WOW, a Sawyer sib, an interesting mystery!
You got more snow than we did…and we’re farther north. What’s up with that? Great selfie, Mau! We hope you can find out where that other cat lives…it does sound like Sawyer’s sibling.
We had some flurries yesterday, but are still awaiting our first real snowfall of the season. Both the human and the furbabies around here like to watch snow fall, and so for now we are getting our wintry fix with your handsome selfie, Mauricio. And we bet that kitten was quite the surprise for the mom. We hope the kitty ends up in caring hands like Sawyer. Purrs to all of you!
Thank COD Allie was in Mom’s lap when we opened the page up! Allie says she LOVES this photo of you and the Christmasy frame and snow make it even nicer!!! See you at the birthday party later!
The Florida Furkids with tons and tons of smoochies and love to Mau from Allie
Allie was so overwhelmed by your handsomeness that we forgot to say that we hope that kitten finds it’s home.
We had snow all day too, and ended up with about 3 inches. It’s pretty, but I wish it wasn’t so cold and slippery. You did a great selfie, Mau. You should ask Sawyer for info on that kitten! 🙂
We got our first cold spell – it’s 43 degrees right now. Considering we live in Florida and are used to the 80’s, this is quite nippy for us! Happy Sunday from the Zee/Zoey gang!
Your snow sounds like what we usually get — here today, gone tomorrow. Sigh… Ours hit Friday and I’m hoping we can get out and about again on Monday or Tuesday. Our driveway is so steep and we don’t have 4-wheel drive. Of course, even that might have an issue. We won’t have mail delivery till Monday now — none on Friday or Saturday. Love Mau’s selfie. He’s so handsome! If you see that kitty again, I hope you’re able to figure out where it’s from.
We had snow too. Dad was doing some cards and then chores and then, Oh My Cat!
We have the same amount and Dad ran out before it froze. It was getting slippy so it was so shopping was just in time.
Then we watched some Christmas show. It was so nice
We purr that little one is safe and maybe comes back. It sounds like he had a home once.
Lets HOP
Timmy and Crew
Oh my! Another kitten and it sounds like a sibling of Sawyers’ for sure….maybe a little female since she’s wearing a pink collar. It just makes me sad that someone around there has let kittens out in this snow and cold to make their own way. Hopefully you can find out WHO. As for the selfie shot – no doubt Allie will get all “fainty” when she sees her Mau’s portrait today. It’s a great shot!
Happy Snowy Sunday
Hugs, Teddy
Such a gorgeous Winter Selfie with mr Snowman, Mau, Allie is one Lucky girl <3 It seems that all the kitties want to live with you 😀 Pawkisses for a wonderful Sunday 🙂 <3
I hope that mystery kitten has a home!
Hope da kitten wuzn’t stuck out in da snow.
Just started snowing here in UK, around my way and it will play havoc no doubt. Still looks nice when you’re indoors MOL
Lovely selfie, Mau, and I’m sure Allie will be very very pleased too.
Oooh a kitten, now that is interesting. I hope you gets to see more of the little lady…

I’m having a hard time leaving a comment. Hopefully the third time is the charm.
Great selfie, Mau! It’s great to be back hopping with you. Can’t wait to get to know Sawyer!
Gus, Pearl and Jaq
Mau, you are looking good, pal. We had a bunch of snow here – about six inches. It sure looks pretty, but mom and dad are not looking forward to shoveling. 🙂
That’s wild about Sawyer’s sibling. We hope it will be okay!
Hugs!
We are so happy to be back hopping with you! Sawyer looks like a cutie!
Gus, Pearl and Jaq
Great selfie, Mau! Hopefully, that kitten finds its way home before it gets too cold.
