Sparks
My frustration over the groaningly slow progress of the construction of our addition is what attracted me to this quote. Lately, I have been feeling as if I just want to go on vacation until it is complete. Add to that the frustration of Sawyer not eating (his food contains his meds) and the inevitable seizures. Of course, it is just this which means a vacation is totally out of the question. So, I will be soldiering on.
Here’s a little information from Wikipedia about the author of today’s quote. Luka Modrić is a 33-year-old Croatian, professional soccer player. He is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation and the greatest Croatian player of all-time.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie has been taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Unfortunately, during this break, Annie has been the victim of a hacker. This has continued to keep her off-line and caused her much distress. Kitties Blue and I ask for your continued prayers for Annie and her family as they try to reconcile this mess and get their lives back to normal.
Many of us believe in Annie’s vision: “If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
The photo for today’s Spark was taken by Dad Tom on the James River in Virginia. He was on a boat tour dedicated to the viewing and photography of bald eagles and ospreys. The osprey in this photo has just caught a fish with his talons. I will be sharing more photos from this trip in future posts.
Awww Mondays
On a cheery note, Mau is here to join the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. He is a character and always awww worthy.
I not only had to awww when I took this photo, but also when Mauricio carried a felt heart cat toy into the kitchen and set it before me on the kitchen counter for Mother’s Day. What a thoughtful cat my oldest fur child is.
Mau is not the only thoughtful cat. His sweet wife, Allie (Friends Furever), sent me this beautiful card for Mother’s Day. I couldn’t ask for a better furry daughter-in-law.

Kitties Blue and I normally take Tuesdays off, but tomorrow will be an exception. You won’t want to miss the post. We’ll be reviewing a terrific new PTU from Smiling Paws Pets. I am so impressed with this carrier; I know you will be as well. And, Kitties Blue will have a coupon code so you can get one for your furry friends at a reduced price from Amazon.
See you then.
Oh Sawyer, you gots to eats your food my pal! I’ll keep my paws crossed you gets the will to devour your foodables. {{hugs}} to you and your Moms for pushing through the frustration. Ma says she ‘gets it’, and is with you 2000%!

Mau is such a sweetie. Very pretty card too. Great spark and photo! XO
Mau….you made the mom go Awwww too.
Purrayers and POTP for Sawyer. If only we could explain to them that this is supposed to HELP.
Oh Mau, what a goof!
Dad just updated his “Pill Magic” page on our blog. The link is at the top going across. Maybe that will help with Sawyers medications. We hope something does. When things are completed it will be so nice you wont even want to go on vacation MOL
::::::::::::::::::THUD::::::::::::::::::::::::: ooops….that was Allie!! What a super photo of Mau! Allie wants to smooch that sweet face!!! She’s not surprised that he brought you a nice gift for Mother’s Day and is glad you like her card.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
What a great Spark and Mau’s photograph is the best. What a great capture.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday, my friend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
That is a terrific Spark and it sure would be terrific if you’d eat your food Sawyer.
Hooray! The comment detail form is working properly for me again.
That is a lovely photo and a good Spark to go with it.
I am sorry you are having trouble getting Sawyer to take his medication. Can you crush it and add a little water to give by syringe? I had to do that with several of my MIL’s cats when we took them on.
I hope your extension soon takes more shape.
Both of Sawyer’s meds are in liquid form. Unfortunately, there is no way to syringe directly into his mouth, unless we want to be bitten and slashed. He gets angry very easily.
We hope little Sawyer knows just how much all of us are WISHING he would eat his food regularly so he gets his proper dose of medication. Hopefully very soon you will really see things coming together on the new addition too – that will be a BIG relief. Love that photo of Mau cozying up to his Dad helping him read the Sunday paper (haha). It’s so sweet that Mau “gave you his heart” on Mom’s Day.
Hugs, Teddy
