Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #156
Friendly Fill-Ins is a fun blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 and Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). Each Thursday, they post four sentences with blanks to be filled in by participants. The hop is held on Fridays at Four-Legged Furballs. To participate click on the badge at the left.
My completions are in teal italics.
1. 1971 was a very good year. I graduated from college and met Dad Tom.
2. There is nothing quite like the apricot pie from the Hickory Pit restaurants in California.
3. If I had a talk show, I would want to interview Michele Obama. I have always admired her. I am almost finished reading her memoir, Becoming. She is open, honest and articulate.
4. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for Dad Tom and the Kitties Blue (well, except kill somebody, rob a bank or some other really bad thing).
Feline Friday
Mau asked to join the Feline Friday blog hop at Comedy Plus. He does have an ulterior motive. He wanted to do the fill-Ins. His fill-in for numbers two through four is Allie (his wife from Friends Furever). And his fill-in for number one is 2016, the year he and Allie were married at Cat Scouts.
If you weren’t following the Kitties Blue when Mau and Allie were married, you can read about it, see some wedding photos and read a poem from Mau on our post, “A Grand Affair.”

We almost missed this wonderful post! Allie and Mau look so happy! That was the happiest day of Allie’s life! Marrying the mancat of her dreams!!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and pawpats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
THose were interesting answers to the fill ins.In 1971, I was starting 12th grade…and still ha another year to go as we had 13 back then, Hmmm.
In 2016, we still had both ‘original’ Meezer Mews along with MJF…
Great fill in answers. I agree with you about Michelle Obama. She really is a class act.
Mau and Allie are such a beautiful couple. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. That pie sounds so good. Have a wonderful weekend. XO
I remember those pies. You’re right.
Love your answers.
The wedding shot is fabulous. Wow.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
What wonderful answers from you both. We remember that Grand Affair and are so glad you two have a love that is still going strong. Mom and Dad Tom too!
Terrific answers and I love the photo Mau!
Good Fill Ins! !971 was a good year for me too. It was the year Ivor and I got married.
My Mom tells me that Angel Sammy was so happy to be Mauricio’s best mancat for his wedding in 2019 to beautiful Allie. She also said that apricot pie sounds wonderful. You just don’t hear people TALK about apricots that much!
Hugs, Teddy
Apricot pie?!?! I got my love of apricots from my Mom and it’s a shame she never knew there was apricot pie! So many good parts of my Mom live on in me (sense of humor, love of cats, love of apricots …) – just about the only thing that makes her being gone tolerable because she seems so present in everything I do.
