Friendly Fill-Ins:Week #177
It’s Friday, which means it is time for weekly fill-ins. Hosted by Ellen (15 and Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs), this is a fun blog hop. It gives participants the opportunity to learn a bit more about each other. To participate, check out either Ellen or Lorianne’s blog on Thursday to find the sentences to be filled in. To join the blog hop, click on the badge at the left. The hop takes place at Four-Legged Furballs.
I needed a lot of help with this week’s fill-ins. Luckily both Sawyer and Mau were available to help out; though, you can see by #3 and #4 they would rather have been elsewhere.
We all used teal italics for our fill-ins. Any explanatory information is in parentheses.
1. Sawyer: October is the perfect month for an adventure. (More information about this coming soon.)
2. The most recent purchase I made online was bulbs to plant later this fall.
3. Sawyer: If I turned invisible for a day, I would sneak outside and explore the yard.
4. Mau: Sneaking out after dark has gotten me in trouble in the past. (I learned recently how to take the cover off the new cat door. Mom and Dad were blocking it with the plastic food container and a bag of food, but that barrier was easy to move. Then Mom added the pink, plastic cube, cat bed. Still easy peasy. Now she has added the laundry cart. She may think she has beaten me, but I will figure out how to get past this latest barrier. I am a Cat Scout and very resourceful!)
Sneaking out seems to be a theme this week.

Thank you all for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Sawyer, we can’t wait to hear more about this adventure. We hope your adventure doesn’t involve sneaking out, though. Purrs!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I want to hear more about this adventure. And please stay inside at night- all of you. XO
Sawyer, we can’t wait to hear more about your adventure! Mau, you might get back out there…but we bet you’ll get in trouble again.
Psst – Mau’s Mom – get one of those little slide bolts- the kind where there’s a knob that drops in to a notch to either keep it open or closed – at a hardware store and put it on the cat door. We’re guessing by your attempts to block it, the door isn’t supposed to be open all the time.
That is quite the barricade, Mau, but you sound very determined.
Yay, and adventure! Mau, you are one determined feline!
An Adventure? We want to hear every little bit about that. Mau you are quite the door opener like me. If I want to get in I can paw those doors open.
October is a great time for an adventure, but then again, I like to adventure all of the time! This is why we are lucky to have The Hubby, who doesn’t want to adventure, and likes to stay home…so he’s always cat-sitting!
Mau seems about as determined as my furkitty Asami. When she wants something she can be very persistent and doesn’t give up easily!
Mau! NO sneaking out. We know you are a Cat Scout but you don’t want to have to use those survival skills. Scout Dirk won’t be there to help you.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Houdini from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Stinky from Periwinkle!
I love all your answers and especially #4. Mau is giving you a run for your money, but I think you’ll win this one. Eventually.
Aw, there’s my Cooper Murphy. Such a handsome mancat. I love you Cooper Murphy.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
I can’t wait to hear about the adventure and I bet you will figure out the door blocks Mau!
Whoever said cats don’t think or reason never had one! LOL! Great photo of Cooper Murphy!
Mau, you and Bear would be unbeatable. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to outsmart him only to be outsmarted myself. I’m working on the comments issue. I hadn’t seen what you shared about that – if I un-embed the comments then I can’t reply to comments – so I’m looking for a work around. If you’d like to e-mail comments in the meantime, I can post them under your name using name/url.
Mau you better try to stay out of trouble or your wife Allie will be VERY disappointed in you!! I bet your yard will look great this Spring with all those bulbs coming up. Have a super duper Friday everyone!
Hugs, Teddy
I can’t wait to hear about the adventure!
