Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
If it’s Thursday, it is time for poetry. Hosted by Two Spoiled Cats, Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, offers participants the opportunity to flex their imaginations by writing about a provided inspirational photo.
Each week, Angel Sammy writes an exceptional poem and transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge. I suggest you click on the badge at the left to pop over to Two Spoiled Cats and read it. While there, check the Comments for links to other poems.
The subjects of today’s inspirational photo are so darn adorable, my poem absolutely doesn’t do them justice.
Mamas Rule
The cutest tricker-or-treaters we’ve ever seen,
Enjoying their first ever Halloween
Though they have no idea of what’s going on,
They’ll put a smile on faces of those they come upon.
Vicki Lawrence would give these two “Mamas” a thumbs up
And maybe even a peanut butter cup.
They don’t need to be super heroes to be cool.
Everybody knows it is mamas who rule.

Thankful Thursday
I am thankful to have been able to do lots of work in the yard and to have finished two projects for our yard. Our outdoor space is beginning to look less like a construction zone and more like a sanctuary.
On the left is a birdbath and on the right is a flower. A stake will be attached to the back of the flower and then stuck in the ground. I hope to create similar objects in the future. Half the fun is searching for the glass at places like the Goodwill.
Several of the Kitties Blue are thankful that tomorrow is supposed to bring heavy rain and winds. This means fewer trick-or-treaters, which will limit the ringing of the doorbell. This suits me fine, as it is difficult to keep our social cats, like Cooper Murphy, away from the door. Shutting the kitties in another room often results in disagreements and complaints.
As always Kitties Blue and I are thankful for all our blogging friends and supporters. We wish each of you a safe and happy Halloween.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on the badge below to go to Brian’s and enter your link.
YOur poem was fantastic! And we love your glass work … so cool!
Great poem. And you did an amazing job on the glass projects. Happy Halloween! XO
Those two look like Cabbage Patch dolls!
That bird bath is going to be beautiful! Almost to beautiful for the birds.
Happy Halloween to everyone at your place. We just love your mom’s glass projects. They are oh so beautiful. Your poem was very nice.
We really love your plans for the yard. Dad loves glass and you just gave him some cool ideas for next year in our Cat Yard. Dad has a few storage containers full of glass so we will have a fun winter figuring.
Great poem and you all look so cute in your Meowloween line up
Happy Halloween! It is raining buckets here today! We hope we don’t float away!
Your poem was so cute and that birdbath is totally amazing! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Happy Halloween!
We are experiencing buckets of rain; it started yesterday, and is going to continue well past the time for the kids to be out begging.

Fun poem!!! We LOVE your projects. How will you attach the stake to the flower?
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
ps – we love your Halloween costumes!!!! Allie is MOL @ Mau’s and Noelle thinks Sawyer’s glasses are purrfect!
What beautiful and fun glass artwork to brighten up your yard! Great poem for that adorable picture!
First of all what a GREAT poem for this week’s Poetic Thursday fun. The Mamas are just too cute for words aren’t they?! Love the glass projects – both of them are beyond gorgeous and will be SO pretty in your “new” yard. Hope you have a super duper Halloweenie – we will have severe weather, rain and maybe tornados so we will definitely think very few trick or treaters will be out tonight around here!
Love, Teddy
Those glass projects are so unique and lovely!
Your poem was as sweet as those two Mamas!
We might even have some snow when the wee ones parade about the street, though we hardly have any on a good weather Halloween, we might just have none. So thankfully that will mean less barking at intruders…and a quieter night for me, Pipo:)
