Sparks
Just when we thought things in our world couldn’t get any worse, riots have joined the coronavirus as a threat to our resuming our lives as they were at the conclusion of 2019. If the cases of COVID-19 do not escalate drastically as a result of huge numbers of protestors gathering, I will be surprised.
Our current situation is what prompted the Spark I selected for today. I pray we all can find that Power of Love sooner than later.
The author of today’s Spark, William Ewart Gladstone, (1809 – 1898) was a British statesman and Liberal politician. In a career lasting over 60 years, he served for 12 years as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, spread over four terms beginning in 1868 and ending in 1894. He also served as Chancellor of the Exchequer four times.
This photo is one of Dad Tom’s. It was taken last October at Gorges State Park in North Carolina.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Misty May is showing off her toe beans today, and she does accept kisses. She’s also joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at ComedyPlus.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
This fun-loving, tabby duo will return tomorrow with the next installment in their adventure series. It is Periwinkle’s week to post, so look for them over at Friends Furever. I know both Periwinkle and Stinky will be looking forward to seeing you there tomorrow.
And come back here Thursday when we post the things for which we are thankful. We have some very exciting news involving these two cuties.
Truer words I have not…
Misty May is a contortionist!! Such cute toe beans as well…tickles?? Kisses are better, right?! MOL!
That is a perfect spark for these very dark times we are in. We need more love, and less power.

Crazy times we live in…Mr. Gladstone’s quote is very appropriate. Misty May has the cutest jelly bean toesies.
That is a good Spark, but there are too many in high office who love only themselves and power.
Beautiful spark. The world needs much more love. Purrs
Misty May, you are the cutest little furbaby today! I just love that quote, so very true.
Love the Spark. We so need the power of love.
Misty May is adorable. She could also teach yoga. Just saying.
I’ll be visiting Friends Furever tomorrow. I hate to miss Periwinkle & Stinky’s adventures.

Gladstone figured prominently in my college studies, since I specialized in British history.

That is a very good quote. Misty May is very cute the way she is sleeping.
That is a FABULOUS Spark for today – the world was already in turmoil and now it’s even worse for many with the violent demonstrations……may we all find peace and love and light and FAIRNESS. Misty May’s toesies are the perfect touch to your post today!!!!
Hugs, Ted and Mom
