I am so sorry we didn’t post yesterday, but both our humans are sick. So as not to miss another day, I have taken over the blog. The cat who takes over the blog gets to use her photo for Caturday Art. I decided to use an old photo of myself that I particularly like. After I created several versions of the art, I was unable to decide which I liked best, so I am going to present you with three, and you can pick your favorite.
Each version was created by first adding the water overlay from piZap to the photo and then the Lux filter from Dreamscope. After that I went back to piZap and added the borders to the first two versions below followed by frames using Picasa. The third photo has no additional border from piZap, just the frame.
I will be entering the final version in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. This is Mom’s favorite hop, and I think it is now mine as well. I had a blast experimenting. To enter some art of your own or view the other submissions, click on Athena’s badge.
I am a day late doing the Fill-Ins. I hope you don’t mind. Mom said that we cannot let down our good friends and hosts of this blog hop, Mom Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) and Mom Ellen (15 And Meowing). I sure hope I can come up with some clever completions today. My fill-ins are in teal italics.
1. I wish humans revering cats as gods would come back in style.
2. I always have catnip and Temptations in my purse. (Well, I don’t actually carry a purse, but if I did, that’s what I’d have in it.)
3. I think that I should get as much nip as I want whenever I want it. .
Sunday Selfies Reminder
I don’t know if posting tomorrow will again be my responsibility. I am the oldest, after all, so that may be the case. Speaking of age, my birthday is coming up on Tuesday. I will be 18 years old. Pretty good…don’t you think?
Anyhoo, I have no idea who will be in the selfie. If I have to write the post, I can guarantee it won’t be me. We had a great turn-out last week when the Welcome Teddy hop was happening as well. I sure hope I can count on lots and lots of you to return tomorrow. Mom promised us last Sunday that she was going to help us visit all the blogs of those who joined us. Unfortunately getting sick wasn’t part of the plan. If you can’t get here tomorrow, it’s okay. The hop remains open through Thursday.

I just cannot get this art thing down. I think I need to follow a program. I am not as creative with this as you. Bill even said I need to get an art program. I just don’t know which one! I have a Bastet statue from Egypt. It was given to me when Chloe Jo was a kitten. The person went there and actually got it for me! Sorry that I am late, I could get an excuse/note from my vet, if needed. HUGS!
Lovely art, Lily Olivia!! We like the last one the best:)
We sure hope your peeps feel better really soon.
Our brofur was down fur the count and petcretary got it too, but she was only off her feet for one day…Hmmm…she must have a good system!! We sure hope pawppy doesn’t get this crud that is making the rounds. He doesn’t *do* upper respiratory stuff too good…sigh…
Such amazing art!
Athena and Marie
That is some super special (and COOL) art, Lily Olivia! We sure hope Mom Janet and Dad Tom get better real soon. Hugs!
LiLo, I really like the first one best but you did a great job on all of them. I’m sorry your peeps are sick. TW can’t decided if it’s a sinus infection or bad cold. She said if your peeps want a good night’s sleep, try those Breathe Right strips. She never used them before but said they work.
We hope your parents feel better soon. We LOVE that last photo!! Good job with the artwork!!
The Florida Furkids with 87 bazillion kisses and tons of love to Mau from Allie
Sweetie, you are looking fabulous, and your art work is beautiful. Great job. Hope your humans get well quick. Humams are now allowed to get sick.
Lily Olivia how beautiful you look and your art photos are pawsome!
We sure hope your Mom & Dad are feeling better.
sEe you tomorrow!
Hope your peeps feel better soon!
Oh Lily O, you did a beautiful job. We liked all 3 of the pictures – you looked a bit like you got into some whipped cream ! Hope your humans are well enough to help you celebrate your birthday properly. Purrs
Lily Olivia you did a perfect job of presenting the post. I am impressed. You look so much like Mau, I thought it was him but that beauty spot on your nose gives you away. Your Caturday art was so well done I would think you are a pro.
We will see you tomorrow at Selfies.
Very cool art ! We hope your humans feel better soon ! Purrs
Gorgeous art today Lily Olivia, mew did a truly stellar job! XOX
We love your art this week, Lily Olivia. Very creative We sure hope your humans feel better soon.
I think the first one is my favorite, though it’s hard to choose–they’re all beautiful. Hope you’re all feeling better soon!
Your art is most beautious! I sure hope the all better finds your humans soon!
the first and last are my faves, gorgeous! Hoping you both feel better soon! I never post every day and I don’t care! lol
I love your art work and your answers are very funny!
Your art all came out great, but the first is definitely my favorite. Thank you for doing the fill-ins, that was sweet of you. Temptations are a great thing to carry in a purse, at the moment, I have Party Mix in mine. I can see sharing humans would be a pet peeve. I hope your folks feel better soon. XO
You are a purrfect artist, Lily Olivia! I don’t know that we’re able to pick a favorite out of these, they’re all so lovely. We just love how these effects bring out your gorgeous calico furs. And they also show off that you don’t look like a lady cat in her double digits, not one bit. We will for sure be here to wish you the happiest of birthdays on Tuesday, Lily Olivia! Oh, and of course we love your fill-ins. The kitties here want to tell you that your #1 is the best answer ever. (P.S. We hope your mom and dad feel better soon. Are you helping nurse them back to health?)
Lily Olivia you certainly do NOT look your age! You have “weathered Father Time” very well I’d say…..you also look spectacular in the various versions of your artistic selfie today……….when you’re beautiful – you’re ALWAYS beautiful.
Hugs, Angel Sammy
p.s. we’re sorry your humans are sickies….that means they are not much fun!
ice art, Lily Olivia! It seems like everybody’s humans are getting sick. Mine just got better not that long ago!
