Caturday Art Blog Hop
Lily Olivia is entering Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. Today’s entry was created by using posterize in Picasa and the Pewter filter from Dreamscope. The frame is from PhotoFaceFun.
As you can see, the original photo, taken in my suitcase, was super blurry. In this case, I believe that helped make the finished art more interesting. Lily O. hopes you like it.

Helping Our Barn Cat Buddies Friends
A few days ago, I wrote about the plight of some kitties living at a steel mill. The TNR/Rescue group, Barn Cat Buddies, with which Tom and I volunteer are trying to rescue and find “homes” for these cats. To help out with funds, I am having a comment-a-thon to benefit the steel mill kitties. If you haven’t left a comment on my original post, you can do so by clicking here. I will be donating $1 for each comment made prior to 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, July 10.
If you can spare a few green papers, you can donate by visiting the Barn Cat Buddies web-site (link in header). If you cannot help monetarily, please share, share, share on social media. I really appreciate those of you who are already doing this. Thanks!
Sunday Selfies Blog Hop
Tomorrow will mark our 100th Sunday Selfie Blog Hop. Fiona will be your host. She has been rather puny lately. She has an appointment with our vet, Dr. Neel, on Tuesday. I am hoping to get the okay to give her the appetite stimulant more often. In addition to being here tomorrow, she’ll report on her vet visit and CKD on Thursday.
She hopes you’ll join her tomorrow.
That’s lovely. You’re right that the blurriness just adds to the effect 🙂
Purrs xx

Stunning art!
I like that art and the frame is just perfect. When TW first read this, she thought it saw the suitcase took the picture. MOL!
You took a blooper of Lily Olivia and turned it into a work of art! We’re purring for Fiona and hope she starts feeling better.
Wow that turned out so pretty. You’d have never known it was a photo you would not have normally used. Well done!!
I really like this. I may have to try this! ❤
The art looks lovely. I am purring for Fiona.
Very cool art effect and frame. Purring for Fiona.
That is a pretty effect and I like the frame too.
Healing purrs for Fiona. Your art is very pretty. We have a steel mill too and thankfiully all the cats have been relocated.
You look darn pretty sweet girl!
Wow Lily Olivia we are really impressed from your transformation from “blurred cat,” to feline Magnifca complete with pewter effect and artsy wood frame. Verrry impressive on the part of your human! This is the best transformation of a blurred photo we’ve ever seen! Kudos.
I love how you can take a blurry photo and make it look so purrfect. I really love this one of you, Lily Olivia!
I’ve been thinking about Fiona, wondering how she’s been doing. I’m sorry to hear that she hasn’t been feeling as well lately. We are sending lots and lots and lots of purrs and prayers your way, Fiona! We’ll of course be seeing you tomorrow for your Sunday Selfie blog hop!
It’s so cool how you can turn blurry photos into art!! I’ll have to remind mom to not delete our blurs!! Have a great Caturday!!
Beautiful photo and artwork for Athena’s Blog Hop! Love the pewter effect and frame. We hope Barn Buddies are getting some donations – such a sad story and situation for all those kitties. Also sorry to hear Fiona is poorly – let’s hope the appetite stimulant will be “OK’d” for more frequent use purrrrrhaps? Let her know I’m sending POTP!
Love, Sammy
One of the great things about these effects is you can save a shot that, for whatever reason, didn’t quite work out.
