Have you been wondering all week who would host this week’s Sunday Selfies? It was a tough decision as to who was going to get this honor as we have a backlog of volunteers.
In the end, Lizzie got a paws up from all of us.
Mom says that it was super difficult to decide which lizard to feature. They are one of her favorite critters from Tortola. She thinks they are super cute, and she and dad always take lots of lizard photos. For a very long time, the wallpaper on her desktop computer was a Tortola lizard.
None of us have ever seen a lizard. We don’t have any in our yard. Mom says she and dad see them occasionally when they are riding the tandem. We know some of you see lizards all the time, have caught them and even tasted them. Do they taste like chick-hen?
Anyway…We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s selfies this week. And we promise to visit each of your blogs, even if it takes us all week. We are so appreciative of those who participate in and promote our blog hop. You are the best friends Kitties Blue could ever hope to have!
We encourage you to get the link below and post the hop on your blog. We only ask that you include a link to The Cat on My Hand and/or display our badge.
Have a terrific Easy Sunday.

p.s. If you are curious as to the actual size of Lizzie, that is a corn nut in the photo with him/her.
We used to have lots of slow-worms (legless lizards) in our garden and my cat kept bringing them indoors. I love them – but not wriggling about on my kitchen floor!
LEEEEEPIN’ LEEEZARDS! (we were dying to say that)

Thanks to Lizzie for hosting today’s SUNday selfies. This is such a fun event and I am so happy to participate. Thanks for stopping by today. It was nice to visit with you.
I invited a guest today as well! Nice liz by the way
We are so happy to be participating this week!
I used to catch anoles when I was a kid. Well, I caught newts, salamanders, and anything else I could! ~xo~
We don’t have any of those scurrying around here , MOL!
Meowmy’s cousin had all kinds of them in terrariums/vivariums. Not fur her, though…OMC!!
Will try and get some selfies up later…meowmy says she needs to go to work right now…
I’ve never seen a lizard but mom says when she lived in Nevada she had a “porch lizard.” They called him that because every time they sat out there, there he was catching flies. Eventually, they started tossing him raw hamburger and boy, did he love that.
We love lizards and so does our Mama!! Of course we have never actually seen a lizard…but we sure would love to play with one!! 😉 Our Mama said to tell you Mama she will be seeing her very soon! Sooo exciting!!! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
Hi Lizzie
Your cousins must be living here with us. We see green, brown and multi colored blue lizards everyday in our yard. If only Mom would allow us to “play” together. ^sigh^ We have to delight in just watching them run from us.
Great selfie!
Annabelle,Boo,Ping, and Mr Jinx
Lizzie is cute. I wouldn’t say this because she’s on your blog, but since you asked, I did catch a lizard once when we lived in Texas. It got in our house and we were on the third floor. The big guy knows they don’t taste very good because he found it after I got a hold of it. There were lots of yelps by him.
Purrs,
Annie
Lizzie is lurrrverly! What a pawesome selfie. I’ve not seen a lizard either but there are loads around the marina so I’m hoping I can sneak off and see one soon. On my last walk I found a frog in the grass at the end of the pontoon and that was really cool! Have a pawesome day brofur and sisfurs!
I’ve never seen a lizard, though we have toads and frogs! The Staff used to live with a gecko called Gordon!!! MOL
We haven’t seen any lizards before either. Have a great Easy!

What a cute little lizard !
We don´t have any lizards around where I live either 🙁
I bet they would be lots of fun to chase 😉
Sorry for not being participating on this sunday selfie either 🙁
Last weekend was my mom on the run and this weekend she is working *sigh*
I sure hope I can join you for next sunday selfie !!
XOXO
Nice to meet you Lizzie. I have never seen a lizard in Massachusetts, except in the pet store.
That’s about as close as we’ve been to a real leezard, too! We never see them here. Lizzie did a great selfie.

That is a terrific Lizzie selfie and we enjoyed seeing it!
Hi Lizzie…we have always wanted to see a lizard and you lizards have eluded us. At least we can look at your winsome picture!
We have LOADS of those guys around our house. Sometimes they tease us from outside the window but, occasionally, they get in the house. Mom has found a LOT of dismembered lizard parts. We won’t tell her what they taste like..and she’s okay with that.
The Florida Furkids with special smoochies to Mau from Allie
Nice to meet you Lizzie. You are very pretty and sleek. Happy Sunday.
Lizzie is very cool…we love her colors! We don’t see many lizards around here either, when we do they are usually really tiny ones.
Oh scary! My mom has a fear of pretty much all reptiles, she really doesn’t like lizards as the ones she has seen are small and fast. She is afraid they will run over an crawl on her! She doesn’t allow us to go near them either. Give her mice or bugs, no problem, but no reptiles 😉 Heavens, she can’t even really look at photos because it creeps her out. At least the hop is open to all creatures and we find that generous of you kitties!
Hi Lizzie! I’ve never seen a lizard either….my Mom saw one on the garage door many years ago but since then – no “sightings” around here! I understand they are quite delicious though from some of my friends who regularly snack on them….(eeek)! HAPPY SUNDAY!
Hugs, Sammy
That’s a fine young lady and a great Selfie maker 😀 I’d like to meet her. Pawkisses for a Sunny Sunday 🙂 <3
Hi Lizzie ! we loves lizards…we have skinks and blue tongues and stumpy tails and Gekkoes here..sometimes a little skink gets in the catio and it’s game over…unless Mum finds it..spoils all our fun MOL..we will pretend we do NOT know what they taste like…paw pats Dinnermintz xx
Lizzie looks like a very nice lizard. Is she George’s wife?
I can’t add the code to our selfies post because our internet connection is so slow that it makes the computer freeze. We usually keep your post up and visit others from here. We always link to you though.
We don’t have lizards here in England so haven’t seen one but Lizzie looks cute!
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
Yeah, dey taste like chikken.
Arthur thinks that it is a cute little thing to play with !
that’s a very pretty lizard,xx Speedy
My human adores lizards and we are lucky to live in an area where there are bunches of them! Sparkle caught several that managed to get in the house, but so far, I haven’t seen any.
Hello Lizzie! Thanks for hosting Sunday Selfies.
You look very delicious, er… green!
We’ve never seen a leaping lizard but we’d definitely chase one if they ever dared enter our home!
Mom LOVES the Geico Gecko commercials and thinks your lizard is probably a friend!
When Mom was in the Virgin Islands many moons ago she was terrified of the huge iguanas when she first arrived but by the time she left she was petting them and feeding them hibiscus our of her hand!
Your lizard looks a lot friendlier than those scary iguanas though…
Happy Sunday to you!
We’ve never seen a lizard either… though we hear Gloman used to have a gecko named Elvis. ; )
It’s a dragon!!!! Run for your lives!!!
hehehe just kidding. That’s a pretty cool looking lizard. We’ve only seen lizards on our back porch through the window, but they don’t look like that guy. He looks like he would be fun to play with!
Sampy sends a kiss to Astrid for every lizard in the world. Love and hugs from all of us!
oh dear…you know what happens to lizards at our house! It’s a good thing he’s far, far away!
Lizzie is a real cutie pie, and we love her selfie. 🙂
Our dad grew up in California, and there were lots of lizards there. He says he does not see very many here in Connecticut. Come to think of it, we don’t think we have ever seen one in real life, either!
Hugs to you, dear friends. Thank you for hosting.
Moosey, Gracie and Zoe (and Mom and Dad, too)
