Sorry for the very late post today. Mom was super pooped last night, and she couldn’t get her act together, so we have had to take this post into our own paws.
Thankful Thursday
These are the things for which we are thankful for this week:
- finally getting this post done.
- some lower humidity.
- being one of four first commenters on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats. We received this badge.
- getting to have a nice long visit on the catio with Mom’s friend, Mary Jane, mask-less and up close and personal. We all made an appearance, which is highly unusual. Misty May even slept on Mary Jane’s lap, and Kizmet gave her kisses.
- and for all our friends and followers.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. If you’d like to participate, click on Brian’s badge after posting on your blog for what you are thankful.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
We do have a poem for you this week, so we can participate in Angel Sammy and Teddy’s weekly poetry challenge. Here’s the inspiration photo and Mom’s poem.
Tiny Car
My tiny car may look silly,
But it gets me where I want to go—
Even if it is very slow.
I cannot drive on freeways,
And it doesn’t go up hills
But driving it requires very little skill.
When I ask a lady on a date,
I tell her she must own a vehicle—
Getting two in here would take a miracle.
I built this little gem myself,
But I bet that you could tell.
Instead of a horn, it has a bell!
You may not like my little car,
But for your opinion I don’t care,
As long as I can get from here to there.

If you would like to give writing poetry a try, check out Two Spoiled Cats for next week’s inspiration photo. You can pop over there by clicking on the poetry badge. While visiting, don’t forget to read Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge, and he is an absolutely fabulous poet.
Thanks for putting up with our tardiness.

Your poem sounds like it came from Dr. Seuss! I wonder if that fellow also owns a tiny house.
Those are really, really nice thankfuls and a super cute poem too! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Oh what a CUTE poem!!! That little car sure has inspired a lot of adorable poetry today. It’s not late either – it’s still THURSDAY. Glad you had some “in person company” – it’s so wonderful to get back to doing some of the things we had to give up for a year. Also congrats on being co-firsties with three others including Sharon!!
Hugs, Pam (and Ted)
Yeah for being part of the firsties crowd!!
How great it is to not have to wear a mask…and visits are now going to be so precious, because we have missed them for SO long.
Loved your mini-car poem!
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit with you and all the kitties. Having Misty May nap on my lap was such a special treat. Catio time is such a relaxing place for coffee and conversation. I am thankful for our friendship. 💕
You’re not late here! In fact, your post is the first one we read today. The poem about the wee car is funny.
How nice to visit with a friend without a mask! We haven’t had both vaccines yet.
Jean
We’re glad to see a post even if it is a little late! It’s always fun to be firsties together!!!
