Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Today’s inspirational photo provided by Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats is too, too cute. I think the addition of Kizmet only made the photo more adorable. I hope you like the little poem I wrote to accompany it.
Kizmet’s Advice
Please don’t step on me little one
Or fall on me with your pink ruffled bum.
You look rather wobbly in those high heels.
You might do better with some training wheels.
I think I’ll move just a wee bit further away.
You definitely look like you’re starting to sway.
Have fun dressing up in your mommy’s shoes—
Just don’t fall and get a big boo-boo!

Writing poetry has always been one of my passions. If you check out “The Human” tab above, you can see some of the publications where my poems have appeared. I am delighted that Sammy and Teddy give us the opportunity each week to explore our creativity within this genre. If you are not already writing poetry, check out next week’s inspiration photo over at Two Spoiled Cats by clicking on Angel Sammy’s badge and give it a try.
While visiting, don’t forget to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He’s a terrific poet!
Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day we give thanks. Unfortunately, sometimes being thankful can be difficult. With the continued war in Ukraine, yet another senseless school shooting and our dear friend, Jean (Cooper’s girlfriend Tyebe’s mom) having a stroke, we all are feeling pretty down. Days of gloomy and grey skies and tons of rain have done nothing to elevate our moods.
So today, we will leave you with our thanks for being our supporters, followers and most of all friends. Friends are what keep us putting one foot in front of the other each day. We send love to all and prayers for better days ahead.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful. Then, insert the URL from the Thankful badge in your browser to go to Brian’s and join the hop.

Very cute poem!
Yes, sometimes the thankfuls do seem elusive but we must search for them. That’s such a cute poem and it made us smile. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That was a cute poem and photo. I am very sad about all you wrote about. XO
You should stay as far away from those heels as possible, Kizmet.
984 paws UP kizmet…total lee awesum poem 🙂 ♥♥
We love the addition of Kizmet! Your poem is great and Kizmet is smart to move away!!
We agree, there is a lot of sadness around lately. We’re Thankful for your friendship (and Noelle is thankful for Sawyer!)
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
Love the poem and the edit on the photograph. It’s purrfect.
Lots of sadness going on all over the place. We feel the same as you. We also love Jean and her kitties.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥
Things seem to gang-up on us sometimes.
However, you’ve written a delightful poem for us!
Kismet was the perfect addition to an already adorable picture. Sweet poem to match.
I am still trying to process the horror of all those children dying in Texas, and am now waiting for those who say it never happened, that it is all fake news. What has happened to us?
Ahahaha love the addition of Kizmet to the the picture and your poem made me laugh. I stay sad about what’s happening in the world, and it’s good to be reminded of friendships at these difficult times.
Great poem, loved the rhyming!
We think your poem is absolutely PRECIOUS and adding Kizmet and her advice is the icing on the cake! It has been dreary and sad these last couple of weeks – too much cool and rain and clouds to get very excited about Spring. We’re ready for some sun and better days. Life can be quite disappointing but we know too that it can also be wonderful and happy……..we’re hoping THAT happens sooner rather than later!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom too
That is a sweet poem!
We have heavy hearts too for all the messes we are dealing with, not just the man-made ones, but all those terrible storms, too. It is good to have friends to lean upon and to give mutual hugs and other help in times like these. We are praying for Jean, too.
Hugs to you, and love as well. ♥
