Thankful Thursday
We kitties are writing the Thankful Thursday post, as Mom is exhausted.
We have a whole bunch of things for which we are thankful this week.
- Mom is thankful she got more work done in the yard yesterday. We think, however, that she might be broken, as she is really hobbling around. But our yard is starting to take shape again.
- We are super thankful that Mom and Dad took a night for themselves. They went out to dinner and to see the musical, “Beautiful.” If you haven’t heard of it, it is about Carol King. It is filled from end-to-end with songs from the 60s. Mom gives it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and recommends that all you humans see it if you have the opportunity.
- We are all equally thankful that Sawyer was A-OK while they were out.
- The biggest thankful of the week, however, belongs to Sawyer and Mom. On Tuesday Mom received an e-mail from the Helen Woodward Foundation. This is what it said:
Thank you for your support during our #RememberMeThursday contest!
Your story was really powerful and touched our hearts. We are happy to share that your submission made it to the top 50 out of 8,000+ entries for our 2019 #RememberMeThursday contest.
Although you did not make the top 3 of our contest, you have a strong chance of winning our #IChoseToRescue contest, part of our Home 4 The Holidays campaign. We urge you to submit your entry – you have a great chance of winning as we draw a winner at the end of each month through Jan 2, 2020!
The entry was the poem Sawyer wrote, entitled, “Lucky Cat.” If you missed it, click on the title to read it now.
So that’s it for us this week.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by our pal, Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge below to hop over to Brian’s and enter you link.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Mom did not have the opportunity as yet to write her poem for this week, so she will be posting it tomorrow along with Friendly Fill-Ins and a photo for Feline Friday.
Thanks for joining us. We appreciate all our friends and supporters.

WOW O WOW! That is so cool and wonderful to finish that high in the Remember Me Thursday contest, way to go, we’re so proud of you!!! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Wow! Congrats on having your story chosen as one of the top ones. We hope you win the holiday contest.
That’s a lot of things to be thankful for ! Concatulations on being a finalist with your bautiful poem ! Purrs
Congratulations on being in the top 50. Rightly so.
I’m glad you and hubby had a date night. It’s a fun thing to do.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
We all need time out to care for ourselves; if the carer is ill or at low-ebb, then the one’s cared for aren’t getting the attention that they deserve. One has to be selfish a little.
We are happy right along with you as the pawrents need their own time, sometimes anymeow. What a great story and let us know when we vote for the next go round!
We hope your Mom is finished with all the really hard work in the yard and can recuperate (with your help). It’s really pawsome that Sawyer’s poem did so well!
Mom would love to see Beautiful. She’s a big Carol King fan!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
I missed your poem and am glad you shared it again. It is very good and I can see why it could be a winner.
How totally fantastic that Sawyer’s “Lucky” poem written by your pawsome Mom was a finalist in that contest AND that it still has a chance to be a big winner. It’s a wonderful poem and the fact it’s all about our little hero Sawyer makes it THAT MUCH BETTER!
Hugs, Teddy
You have so much to be thankful for!!
Congrats on being ‘chosen’!
Hope you might yet win another honor:)
