Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #294
Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They provide the four sentences with blanks for your responses. Often I have difficulty completing the fill-ins and need to ask for a little help from Kitties Blue. This week I had to pass off three of the four sentences. Thankfully, Sawyer and Astrid came to my rescue and helped me out. We all used teal italics to fill in.
1. When I run out of an idea for a response for a fill-in, I use a response from one of the Kitties Blue as a substitute.
2. Sawyer: I don’t understand why I can’t have all the treats I want.
3. Sawyer: Anytime is the best time to put on my “I want treats” expression.
4. Astrid: It seems like I’m the only one who is afraid of Misty May.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday on Friday
Though, I didn’t write a poem yesterday; I didn’t want to miss out on writing about this week’s super fun inspiration photo.
The Rule Breakers
These old friends from high school think they’re cool,
As they still continue to break the rules.
They often gossip about their peers
And at young people sometimes jeer.
If you meet them individually,
Each is as kind and caring as can be.
But in a group they like to poke fun,
And if confronted they’re prepared to run;
Though, at their age it won’t be too quick,
Which is why they each carry a stick
To fend off those who would disagree
And try to chase them when they flee.
Whatever happens, they won’t be deterred.
This is the most fun they’ve had in years!

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday is hosted by our dear friends, Angel Sammy and Teddy, from Two Spoiled Cats. They post an inspiration photo on Thursday for the following week’s poetry challenge. To check out the photo for next week, click on the poetry badge. And please read Angels Sammy’s poem when you visit. His skills as a poet are legendary.
Thanks for joining us today. Hope to see you tomorrow for some Caturday Art.
I just love that picture and wish I knew what they were gawking and tittering at. The poem was a perfect match!
Sawyer and Astrid I agree with the thought about treats. Why can’t we have as many as we want? They’re god!
Dear Sawyer, I don’t understand why we can’t have as many treats as we want either.
Mom said to tell you she liked your poem.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I think Sawyer really likes treats. I am sorry Astrid is afraid of Misty May. My Joanie is afraid of Penny and Trouble. Oddly, Troub le is afraid of Penny too. 🙂 Nice poem and porbably very accurate. XO
Those were really good answers and a fun poem too!
I think you should have all the treats you want, Sawyer. ~Ernie
Very fun poem and great fill-ins! Have a super weekend!
Love your fill-ins. I just couldn’t come up with anything this week. It happens sometimes. I need some kitties to help me out.
Love the poem. So many different takes on the prompt. Such fun.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hug to you, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and tons of scritches to the kitties. ♥
Love the poem. It gave me a good laugh!
Update:
My Christmas card arrived today, thank you.
Thanks for the compliment on Angel Sammy’s poetry – he enjoys Thursdays and seeing what everyone else thinks of the photos he gives for inspiration – your Mom did a FANTABULOUS job this week for the crazy photo. Your fill-ins are great too….hope you all have a super Friday.
Hugs, Teddy
I’m right there with Sawyer on his #2 answer!
Super poem!!
I had to laugh at the reason they carry a stick…which reminded me of the time at my work when a lady decided she was not going to cooperate (dementia), and she tried to stomp on my toes with her cane…
