Since the inception of Sparks, many participants have posted Sparks about kindness, including me. In this time of senseless bullying and killings, I don’t think we can remind each other enough to be kind.

Though this quote speaks to humans, we all know it is just as important to show kindness to our beloved pets and all animals.

If you are unfamiliar with Henry James, he was and American/English author who lived from April, 1843, to February, 1916. He is considered by many to be among the greatest novelists in the English language. You may be familiar with some of his novels, such as The Portrait of a Lady, The Ambassadors and The Turn of the Screw. James was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911, 1912 and 1916

The graphic is one I colored with the Happy Color app.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Calista Jo is here today with her moth in a photo from July, 2015. Sorry it is a smidge out of focus. She is joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. You can join as well by clicking on the Awww Mondays badge.

Great spark. Sadly, humans need constant reminding to be kind.
Moths are fun to catch.

Calista Jo looked very happy with her new moth toy. That is a wonderful flashback photo from 2015. It was great to learn about Henry James, and we would love to read some of his novels soon. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.

Calista Jo, you should have watched Manny track and catch a spider that crawled across the ceiling! The spider just didn’t stay far enough away from his fast-as-lightning paws…

Those are three good things to remember and I think Calista Jo looks great. If the picture is out of focus, I can’t see it.

Kindness is so important – sometimes it’s the only “positive” someone feels in their life. Not only that but kindness BRINGS kindness in return. CJ and her moth reminds my Mom of Angel Sammy’s love for them. He loved to hunt them and snack on them! I’ve never tried one – perhaps I don’t know what I’m missing!

Hugs, Teddy

What a big moth!!

Kindness is such a needed thing…in all walks of life. It needs to be taught, I think at a young age by example and by letting children practice it unto others…it will eventually become a lifelong habit. If you don’t have kindness in your heart, how can you love??
