Sparks
Wowie, wow, wow! Can you believe it? I’m back again today. I have no idea why this is happening, but I certainly hope y’all don’t mind. I am doing the Spark as well as joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus.
Okay, I just read the Spark and figured out why I’m back…again. It’s ’cause I’m old. In fact, I am the oldest living being in this house. At almost 19, I am 90 in human years. My humans are old, but they should hope to live so long.
And there are a few things that aren’t bad about growing old, especially the opportunity to nap whenever I want. Mom also thinks that is a plus. And she knows no longer having to get up at 5:45 a.m to get ready to go to work is a really good thing; though, she hasn’t done that in over 20 years. Can you think of anything good about growing old? If so, let me know in the comments.
Mom says I have to tell you something about this Judy Parfitt purrson (oops, I mean person). Judy Catherine Claire Parfitt is an 88-year-old, English actress. She’s worked in theatre, film and television. She’s done some American projects, but if you’re a fan of the BBC, as my humans are, you’ll know her from there. Most recently (since 2012), she has been playing the role of Sister Monica Joan in the drama series Call the Midwife.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Those awww-adorable cartoon tabbies, Periwinkle and Stinky, will be taking their next adventure tomorrow. These two active youngsters (who also takes lots of naps) have oodles of fun when they’re together. They especially enjoy taking you along with them, so please plan to meet them right here tomorrow!
Purrs & paw pats, Misty May
Hey, you are so right to quote that wonderful actress! And mama and papa are less young than before (happens daily, I’m told, to everyone) and they fortunately have their health and watch their diet and wine levels, haha, and that’s a good way to keep on truckin’.
Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL awww…and smile whenever possible and hug your honey every day and watch the BBC and also take a look a The Good Fight, which is amazing TV never seen by this family before! Also After Life, which we loved.
My momma would be da wrong one to ask. She’s perpetually a teenager, MOL.
Growing old is ok for kitties since no one can see their wrinkles! And since they are kitties, they stay absolutely adorable forever!
Misty May, I never get tired of seeing you. And I agree about all the napping you get to do when you get older. ~Ernie
We’re always glad to see you. That’s a great Spark. Mom appreciates not having to get up super early too.
Periwinkle can’t wait for tomorrow.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
we totally agree with you Misty May! One of the best parts to getting older is that you get more naps!!
Misty May, one thing that I don’t worry about anymore is keeping up with fashion.
A younger person has peer pressure, but if there is any pressure for me to be up-to-date with clothing styles, I’m not feeling it AT ALL.
Awww, you’re most beautiful. A senior kitty is always special.
We love her too. We loved that show and love all things BBC. Some great shows.
I love many things about being 70 years young. My health, life, home, not having to work anymore and the list goes on and on. You’re right with that quote. I know a gal that is in her late 70s and she hates being old. She’s miserable and it shows.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥

We’re lucky to see you again sweet Misty May! Your Spark is wonderful.
This is a wonderful spark, Misty May. That said, you don’t look a single day into your double digits. Purrs!
Oh, Misty May, we know Sister Monica Joan! We all watched every episode of that show. And there are many. Sometimes a couple of us fell asleep during…
Mom says the best thing about growing old is your still alive, BOL! Have a great week, everyone! XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
I am always happy to see you. Excellent spark. XO
Good spark Misty May, and very true, I am presently experiencing some of the adjustments to being older myself …
Well glad to have you back again with today’s SPARK message Misty May. My Mom says being old is way better than the alternative of not being here at all! She also says “being old is not for the faint of heart” which is some kind of weird human saying that makes no sense to me.
Hugs, Teddy
A plus about growing old is that one gets to give wise advice to those much younger…that is, if they’ll stop to listen! And one doesn’t have to worry too much about making yourself ‘known’… and who cares about goals…the elder’s goal is to just enjoy life as it happens, day by day. And each new day is a blessing.
