Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #114
As I (and sometimes Kitties Blue) do each Friday, I am participating in the Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). Each Thursday, on their blogs, they post four incomplete sentences to be filled in. Each Friday you can find the hop at Four-Legged Furballs. To go their now click on the badge below.
1. I tried singing “Purple Underpants,” and I liked it. (If you don’t know this song, here’s a YouTube video of the original songstress, Adorapurr [Dori], singing it.)
If you’d like to hear more songs by Dori, visit “It’s a Wonderpurr Life” by clicking here.
2. Am I the only one who talks to cats as if they understand what I am saying? (Who am I kidding? I know I’m not!)
3. Jackson Galaxy is my hero/heroine. (To read my three-part series from my interview of Jackson Galaxy, click here for part 1, click here for part 2 and click here for part 3.)
4. If I could eat only one food for the rest of my life, it would be apricot pie…or UTZ Ripple potato chips…or dark chocolate, peanut M&Ms…or Homestead Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Sorry, I couldn’t pick just one. I have a diverse palate.
So that’s it for fill-ins. Misty May will be here tomorrow as the subject of our Caturday Art.
Thank yoo so much for posting my Purrrple Underpants mewsic video. I lost the chance to hire an agent because my meowmy said “making it on my own” would give me character. I love yoor blog!
Love and Purrs,
Dori
I believe that animals understand us. I started singing the song, Get up off of that thing whenever I put Petra up while we eat. She used to go in the room where her mommy sleeps. Mommy has been out of town a while. Now, when I just say the words, “Get up off of that thing,” she puts herself up in the room where she sleeps now.
It is very hard to choose just one food, isn’t it? 🙂
We talk to the kitties and the dog, too. Who can say what they understand? I think animals understand a lot more than they are often given credit for. I know Petra (Jack-Chi) is a smart, determined cookie. She wanted to be able to get to the other side of the baby gate that we had set up. She started jumping up and down, higher and higher every day, until finally she was able to jump over that baby gate. We raised it higher and she did the same thing. Finally, we gave up on the baby gate. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend!
LOL you are definitely not the only one who talk to kitties 🙂 I have conversation with my kitties all the time. In fact, I think I talk to kitties more than taking to humans 🙂
I suspect the cats know more about what we’re saying than we think 😉
I always talk to my kitties. They listen to me! 😻😽
The mom talks to us all the time…you are not alone. And she’s with you on the peanut M&Ms. She just had some today. 🙂
They DO know what we are saying!
Cats simply choose to ignore us…
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Jackson Galaxy is a true hero, he has educated so many in cat behavior. I talk to my cats more than I talk to anyone 🙂 Have a nice weekend! XO
Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Dori’s “Purple Underpants” makes me so happy. I bet your version is fantastic, too! As for talking to kitties, I do indeed carry on conversations with mine. Evan is a major talker, and so he and I jibber jabber with each other all the time. What a wonderful answer for #3! Jackson Galaxy has made some of our most favorite toys (like the space station we won from you!). I have never had apricot pie, but since I love apricots, this is now on my to-do list. Happy Friday to all of you!
Mom ALWAYS talks to us and of course we understand–we just don’t always let her know that we do! She could also not pick just one food either, but warm homemade blueberry cobbler with heavy cream would be right up there.
Those were all good and so was the tune! Our Dad talks to us all of the time, of course we understand!
Oh I talks to cats and pups and am sure they understand every word. The trick is to know what they are saying in return. I’m convinced they talk to us if we’ll just listen.
I see you have a sweet tooth. I am addicted to ice cream. Not a healthy path I’m on. Oh well.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Oh my…Mom talks to me every day when she’s home. We even discuss the weather (always gloomy and rainy it seems) and where she’s going…when she’ll come back and so on. She asks methinks about whether we should head in to bed or not and if I’m hungry. I can answer many of her questions with actions and small meows. She doesn’t;t discuss v-e-t visits with me. Good thing as I would be where Admiral always went. Under the big heavy oak bed. xx
Dori does a great job with that song……..! My Mom talks to me all the time and I return the favor. We are chatting off and on all day. She couldn’t pick just one thing to eat either – there are too many yummy things for her to settle on one. That might have something to do with her inability to lose weight…..haha. HAPPY FRIDAY!
Love, Teddy
Those fill ins were fun!
I talk to our furry ones too.
