HONORARY KITTY #3: MEET SWIZZLE

Inspired by Sparkle‘s mom, Janiss, our mom decided to sponsor a kitty from PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society, Inc.) of Connecticut and welcome her as an Honorary Kitty Blue. We have a full house here, and the only way Mom can add any kitties to our furmily is by making them an honorary member.

While viewing the photos of all the kitties available for adoption from PAWS, one particular lady stole her heart. Her name is Swizzle and she is six years old. We think she looks quite like one of us and one of our angels as well. What do you think? Click here to see our entire furmily.

This past weekend, Dad Kevin (meowmeowmans) from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life spent some time with Swizzle giving her extra snuggles and attention for Mom and taking some photos for us.

Swizzle was adopted from Paws with her sisfur when they were eight weeks old. Swizzle lost her sisfur some time ago and has been lonely. She’s back at Paws now as her human had to move to a place that does not allow pets.

This is what Swizzle has to say about herself: I have tons of love to bestow on a new person. I just love to be brushed and petted! Sometimes I’m playful and love the track ball. Mostly I’m happy to just sit next to you. Rub behind my ears and I’ll purr happily with my head against your leg. I don’t mind being picked up, but I’m not a lap cat. I do not like dogs at all. I’ve lived with older children (tweens). I can be tolerant of other cats, but nobody can replace my sisfur. I’m indoors only. I do not like loud noises and can be jumpy at times.

Swizzle had a bit of a haircut to remove matted fur.

Swizzle does admit to having some litter box issues since losing her sisfur. It has been determined that this is a behavioral problem. Finding love and a new home may be just what she needs to correct this behavior.

Sizzle is spayed, current on all her vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Mom plans to sponsor Swizzle until she finds her furever home. If, like our mom, you fall in love with Swizzle and think she would be a purrfect addition to your furmily, click on the link in the first paragraph.

We will give you periodic updates here as to how Swizzle is doing.
