Caturday Art
Last week when creating Misty May’s Purple Rain art, I began by using a Dreamscope filter called Intricacy. At the time, I thought the graphic it created would be great for coloring.
With that in mind, I created this graphic of Cooper Murphy using the same filter.
I was fairly certain I wouldn’t be able to complete coloring this in one sitting, but as I had prepared no other art for today, I decided to share the unfinished piece with you. I used permanent and metallic markers and glitter pens for coloring.
As you can see, I have completed a good portion of the background but have colored very little of Cooper Murphy. I will work on this the next few days, and share the completed project for next week’s Caturday Art.
This is the original photo of Cooper Murphy from which the art was created.
Obviously, Cooper Murphy is more handsome in his natural fur colors. Nonetheless, I am enjoying turning him into this colorful picture.
I am entering my unfinished art in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. To enter some art of your own and/or view the creations of others, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
Does anyone else feel as if 2017 is speeding along way too quickly? It’s already time for Sunday Selfies again tomorrow. It will be our 130th SS post. I have no idea who’ll be here as your host. If Lily Olivia doesn’t quit staring at me, however, she may get pegged for that
chore honor.
Until then…toodles!
That piece of art turned out very colorful, Cooper Murphy, but we think you are already a masterpiece of your own 🙂 We don’t live by time anymore, it makes us scary how it flies, but Granny says, time is only a number, just like age is, that feels better 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Timeless Day 🙂 <3
That’s so cool to create digital art and then color it!
That is amazing and what a handsome boy!

Totally cool! We loves it and we can’t wait to see it finished!
Kisses Nellie
That is really amazing in B&W as well as while you are coloring it! Can’t wait to see it finished.
A gorgeous colouring project. Mom would have it all messed up but you did an awesome job. Mr Murphy looks regal and majestic.
Shoko and Kali
Just beautiful!!
Dang, thats very, very pretty!
Wow! That looks great. XO
You’re a talented artist. I don’t have the patience for adult coloring partly because I prefer painting big things like walls, and partly because my vision is so bad I can’t see the lines for coloring books!
I’m glad you posted Cooper’s original photo because I was getting anxious trying to figure out what the filter had done to his body!
We like what you’ve done so far! Very cool!
This is amazing! I like it the way it is! It’s artistic. Cooper Murphy is purple looks super great with what you already did. BTW, I don’t think you hooked up to the linky but I went looking for you.
Love that filter!! Can’t wait to try it for myself!
Oh wow I lOVE both of those!
OMC, what precious works of art are those. The filter is available where?
all these adorable photos of Cooper are making me want a ginger of my own! (Frodo is only 3/4 ginger!!)
The first effect is gorgeous ! Purrs
That’s absolutely gorgeous, Janet! I keep wanting to start coloring again but haven’t found the time since I started teaching myself to crochet! LOL! 😀
WOW! That’s fabulous, Janet! Cooper Murphy makes a great, and kind of psychedelic, work of art. 🙂
We all like that art! We also all agree that Cooper Murphy has some beautiful markings in his real fur coat!
Stereo purrs……Hemingway and Steinbeck
Wow, that is some really cool art!
There should be a whole coloring book made from photos of the fantastic Kitties Blue! We sure love how this one of handsome Cooper is turning out. It already looks purrfect, and we can’t wait to see it next Caturday!
Oh how magnificent! Cooper is a perfect subject with his lovely markings but the black and white “starting point” for your coloring project not only enhanced his markings but gave you an incredible “background” to color in too! This is a great project – going to be gorgeous (already is!).
Hugs, Pam
We like that B & W picture too:)
Very cool!!!
