Sunday Selfies: Week #215
My daddy is my favorite person in the whole world. I was lounging comfortably in his lap this afternoon when I snapped my selfie. Mom was looking for a nice autumn-themed frame, but I like this one. I had her retouch my right eye as the freckle has grown larger and I think it distracts from my looks.
Remembering Friends
I’m not here for myself today but to say goodbye, on behalf of Kitties Blue, to two special friends who recently received their angel wings.
Sister Precious (Brian’s Home) was helped to the Rainbow Bridge by Dad Terry on September 11. According to Dad Terry, she was ready and went peacefully. This beautiful lady came to live with Brian and the gang in 2011. She didn’t care for her fursibs and enjoyed her very own bedroom suite where she quite happily spent her time. Dad Terry said of her, “Sister Precious loved me with all her heart and the feeling was mutual.” He called her a total love bug who graced Mom Celeste and him with purrs and smiles every evening at play time. Brian and his family have lost four sisters in a short amount of time and our love and sympathy goes out to them as they grieve the loss of Sister Precious.
Madi(son) D. Cat (Madi and Mom Down Home in N.C.) filled many roles in her life: Confidant to her mom, poet, Cat Scout, Crotchety Cougar, Friends Furever Raz’s girlfriend, Diva and a friend to all. She left her earthly home for the RB on September 13. She had been receiving treatment for CKD since June of 2017. Her health deteriorated suddenly. It was discovered that she had developed an heart murmur and was in congestive heart failure, and so her parents kindly helped her to the Bridge.
Raz has organized a special tribute blog hop for Madi. It will be held Wednesday, September 26. If you’d like to participate, create a post remembering Madi. Make certain to include her favorite color, red, and try to make your fellow bloggers and Madi’s family and friends smile. You can write a poem or haiku, take a photo of yourself doing a bit of boxing and hop aboard the Come Laugh with Us Blog Hop! Don’t forget to visit Raz for more information.
The Blog Hop is set up here if you would like to pre-post. Please include the graphic when you post.
