Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
As I do each Thursday, I am joining the poetry challenge hosted by good friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy, from Two Spoiled Cats. Here’s the inspiration photo they provided for today along with my poem.
Friends are Precious
They hug and comfort you when you’re sad
And listen to you vent when you’re mad.
They stand by you when you act a fool
And lend you a jacket if you’re too cool.
If you are kind and not controlling
And always try to be consoling,
A friend can be in your life forever,
As age and gender rarely matter.
I’m thankful for each and every friend
And pray our friendships will never end.

A life without friends is empty and pretty meaningless. I would be a basket case without my friends, especially with the threat of COVID-19.

Thankful Thursday
I have one giant thankful this week, and that is: To my knowledge all Dad Tom’s and my friends and family are healthy. I pray that each of you reading this is healthy and staying safe and cautious.

I’m thankful we are healthy here too. I don’t know anyone that has the virus. I hope it stays that way.

What a sweet poem.
We are also thankful not just for our friends BUT for the fact that our family and their families so far are healthy. We are praying that one day soon all of us will get our “regular” lives back and the virus will be history. We know that’s a “tall order” but we are HOPEFUL. Happy Thursday FRIENDS – your poem is purrrrfect today!

I am grateful for the many friends I/we have too…and right now, we can traverse many miles via the internet, and even better with live video like skype, Zoom, etc. That’s how we do our church servises now,and our weekly Bible study groups.
