Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #244
Time for those fill-ins hosted each week by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). I used teal italics for my fill-ins. Explanatory info is in parentheses. Two weeks ago, I used my fill-in for this week’s #4 for another fill-in. Sorry, but it was appropriate again here.
Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop. You can find the sentences to be filled in on both blogs on Thursdays. And you can join the hop by clicking on the badge at left.
1. So far 2021 is okay! (Kizmet is keeping us amused, and Dad Tom and I have appointments for our first dose of the COVID vaccine on Saturday.)
2. A book title that best describes my life is The Cats’ House by Bob Walker.
3. Discovering Janet (now Kizmet) on PetFinder was a pleasant surprise.
4. I learned that taking a bath with a cat is a recipe for disaster.
Feline/Friendship Friday
This is the only time I have seen Kizmet less than joyous. She was wearing the harness we purchased for her. She walked around in it as if she’d broken her front legs. She’ll have a little more time in it for day two tomorrow and a little more time each day after that.
Kizmet is participating in the Feline Friday and Friendship Friday blog hops. To join her, click on the appropriate badge(s) below.
Kizmet you look about as happy as I feel when I wear my harness. They take some getting used to. I think we will both like them after awhile. ~Bea Puppy
PS My Margret said you are very pretty
Kizmet does not look too upset, we can see a laugh in her eyes! And we loved the Ussie! Your fill ins are terrific! Mom laughed when she read #4. Nellie fell into the bathtub with Mom. She can laugh about it now, but it was an experience she never ever wanted to repeat! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Mom says #4 is a big NO! Even an unhappy Kizmet is adorable!

Kizmet is a cutie. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Yes, I would think a cat in water can be dangerous. I am glad you are going to be able to get your vaccine Saturday. Have a nice weekend. XO
Love your fill-ins. Kismet is adorable and I’m glad you found each other. A purrfect match.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥
Those are great fill ins and that was a good book. Dad read it and thought it was us too. Kizmet that harness will become like second nature and you will be enjoying going for a walk
Both Celestial Angel and Chuck acted as if we’d given them paralysis by putting on their harnesses! Over time, they got used to it, but those early days were amusing…to us, not them!
Kizmet is such a cutie and we think she’ll get used to that harness!
I can’t laugh at the bath comment. In elementary school, my family had a rabbit. He got sick and one of the things our vet told us to do was to give Black Spot a bath regularly. Fast forward to when we got Kitty, and it just seemed like the thing to do! I was her person from the start – so my Mom had me put my bathing suit on and get in the tub with Kitty while we gave her a bath. 1) That swimming suit did not survive the experience. 2) I still have scars. I wasn’t going to do that again – and we never did. [Kitty hated water with a passion – even a tiny sprinkle would make her spitting mad].
Poor Kizmet…..well, it does take a while to get used to a harness….she looks like she’s trying her best to cooperate though! HAHAHA Great filling in too!!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
I wish I could tell Kizmet that the harness gets better and better, and it’s one of the best things ever! At least that is what I think.
Kizmet looks so sad…LOL!
Once she learns that it will get her into new ‘catventures’ she may learn to love it.
Glad you are going to get the vaccine soon!
