Sunday Selfies: Week #257
Prior to sharing two selfies of myself, I have two confessions to make.
- Dad Tom helped me with my selfies.
- In spite of what you see in my selfies, I am a hit-and-miss eater. I usually eat better for Dad than I do Mom. He claims it’s all in the presentation, and he does that better. Honestly, it all looks the same to me—a white bowl with a blob of some flavor of Fancy Feast laced with chicken- and/or grape-flavored medicine. If that sounds nommy to you, your taste buds must be wacky. To be honest, it all comes down to whether or not I am hungry. If I am, I’ll eat the stuff, and if I am not…well, I think you get the idea.
Anyhoo, here are my selfies.
What do you think? I am hoping a certain young lady cat won’t be grossed out by my messy face. Maybe I can get her to help me clean up a bit.
Seizure Activity
Mom hinted in yesterday’s post that things haven’t been great for me recently. In our Thankful Thursday post, she reported that I had recovered well from my previous seizure and heat stroke and was five days seizure free. Unfortunately, I didn’t stay that way. I had a seizure on Thursday afternoon.
Mom and Dad heard a commotion on the upper deck and jumped up to investigate just as I came flying down the catio stairs. Dad grabbed me when I was halfway through the spindles about two feet from the bottom.
Luckily, it was not a gran mal so heat stroke was not a concern. And it did stop spontaneously after Mom and I were both covered in gobs of slobber. Whew…that was a close one! I did, however, cut my nose. Just adds to my tough guy image.
Everyone has been so kind and supportive, and I really appreciate each and everyone of you. I am a bit embarrassed to ask for continued purrs, prayers and POTP, but if you have a little to spare, I could certainly us them. Thank you!
Time to Hop
We were happy to see that Linky Tools started working last week and only a couple of photos were missing. All of us Kitties Blue have our paws crossed that this week the hop will be working at 100 percent efficiency. But before you jump on board, here are those tips Mom likes to post for any newbies.
The link to add your selfie to the hop is below.
- You also will find below the code to use if you’d like the hop to appear on your blog.
- Posting on Sundays is not necessary to join.
- You do not need to be a cat to enter. All anipals are welcome regardless of species.
- The hop remains open for entries through Thursday midnight.
- Please be so kind as to display our badge and/or link to The Cat on My Head.
- Take the opportunity to visit some of the other hop-alongs and make some new friends or reconnect with some old ones.
If you are joining us for the first time, welcome! We are delighted to meet you and hope you will return often. And for all our longtime friends and purrticipants: We love you!

We made a ‘card’ for you, and I, Pipo recruited some kitties to bring cartloads of POTP, purrs and pawyers to you. Its in an email to your MOm, and to your Dad on his FB page…
Oh, dear handsome Sawyer. It breaks my heart that you suffer from these seizures. How grateful we all are that you have the Mom and Dad that you have. How they love and care for you. Sending continual prayers… <3
Well all the unattached lady cats here think you are dreamy Sawyer. And they are both hoping they are the lady cat of whom you speak.
We don’t think grape flavored medicine would taste good, Mom does but she is weird, we think it should be salmon or tuna flavored
We are so very sorry you are still having seizures, you are always in our PURRS and of course you can have all the POTP you need.
We are so sad to hear that you are still having seizures Sawyer! We will continue to send prayers and purrs your way.
Dear Sawyer, you KNOW we are always purring and praying for you. We’re so sorry you got a nose ouchie but glad it wasn’t a GM. We know how important it is for you to eat your food because your special medicines are in it. We love you so much.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle who is going to teleport over to help you out with that food.
Meow-meow Sawyer, dear furiend, you did ever so much better than Katsu with your selfie …That having been said, we’re very concerned about your health. Are you drinking enough? Mr. M was not good about that, but improved when the staff got him a fountain… I also admit that I really like drinking flowing water, too.

Dearest Sawyer, we are all sending you purrs and prayers pal and we’ll keep sending them. We love you pal and we love your selfies too!
Sawyer, you are always on our minds. You are always in our hearts. You are loved.
I think a little food on your nose just adds to your cuteness. I’m sorry you still have the troubles but I’m glad it wasn’t as serious as before.
Goodness we just read that and were thinking you got a week in my friend. Since you did not have a gran mal we are still happy and it is no problem to send all the purrs and prayers we can muster your way. We love that picture of you and am sure that little princess will clean that nose of yours up in a flash. Purrs dear friend to you and your fabulous family
Sawyer, you know you need never be embarrassed to ask for continued purrs, prayers and POTP. We all love you and you know we send as many as you need and double it.
Maybe that bit of food will make a tasty snack later.
Oh, sweetie, you can ask as many POTP and purrayers as you want…always…and you know what, Sawyer, you don’t even have to ask, they are given to you every day <3 Healing Pawkisses and Purrayers are on the way💗💗💗
Sweet Sawyer, you don’t EFFUR need to be embarrassed to ask for more purrs or prayers or POTP from your furriends. In fact, We are happy to do this for you, even without being asked. We love you so much!!!
Gosh Sawyer…..you have a nice snack on your nose for later! It’s a good place to keep it so it’s handy. I’m sure Noelle would happily help you take care of it if she were there. We’re sorry you had another seizure – but somehow glad it was a small one and NOT another very bad one. Sorry you scratched your nose though. Please be a good boy and eat your food because you need that medicine OK? OK!
Hugs, Teddy
Sawyer, never be afraid to ask for purrs. You need them, and we ALL are always ready to give them!

Take care x
Dear Sawyer, you always have our purrs and healing prayers xx
Sawyer, let’s get one thing straight young dude. If you need our prayers you have them, you ask for them you will get them. OK? No need to feel worried, or ashamed.
You are blessed with a wonderful family and ALL of us love you very much.
Never, ever be afraid to ask for support and help.
We are here.
That does sound like some exotic food prep from your staff, though we applaud their skill and determination and experimentation. I suspect Mrs H’s concoctions would not be quite so interesting or flavoursome, MOL
Lots of continuing purrs for your speedy recovery.
