Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #299
Another week of filling in, and I have managed to do it without any help from Kitties Blue; though, #2 is about one of our angels. My sentence completions are in teal italics. Explanatory or additional information is in parentheses.
1. It’s about time winter comes to an end.
2. An anecdote I like to tell is about the time our white cat, Madison, rolled in dirt in the yard until his fur looked brown. He asked to come in the house, but housekeeper Chris didn’t recognize him and wouldn’t let him in. (He ended up disappearing for three days, which, of course, worried us. But, I was relatively certain he’d return, as he’d hung around on our deck for six months before I invited him to live with us.)
My sweet and handsome boy was not fond of kisses.
3. I wish there was a way to lose weight without dieting and exercising. (I actually don’t have any problem with the exercising part, but doing only one without the other doesn’t really work.)
4. Too many people take friends and friendships for granted.
Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). Each Thursday they provide the four sentences with blanks for your responses. To participate, click on the Fill-Ins badge.
Feline/Friendship Friday
Our angel Madison is participating in the blog hops hosted by Comedy Plus and Create With Joy, respectively.
If you’d like to know more about Madison, I think you will enjoy these two posts.
You also can learn more about him on The Felines page.

Thanks for joining us today. We’ll be back tomorrow for some Caturday Art.
What a lovely poem for Madison. He was the perfect cat to join your household. We know he still lives in your heart.
My human loves to exercise! And she doesn’t diet – she just doesn’t eat a whole lot, but within that parameter, she allows herself what she wants. That has worked out very well for her.
Those really were good answers, yes to #3!
That’s funny that Madison was so dusty he was unrecognizable (at least to the housekeeper).
Madison was a gorgeous and loving cat!
I just read about your angel Madison. He was a handsome boy and such a sweetie. I am sorry you didn’t have more time with him. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had a similar answer for #3. I think it is great that you exercise so much. I am such a sloth. Have a great weekend. XO
I agree with #1 100%!! Nice to see Angel Madison and learn more about him. ~Ernie
Love your fill-ins and especially #2 and 3. Some kitties don’t like kisses at all.
You’re right about losing weight. It’s a slow process of diet and exercise. Need both to succeed.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug for you. ♥
I was amazed that Madison could get that brown. But his family loss is absolutely his and your gain. I wonder at the person who wouldn’t;t let him in. But he had you thank heaven.
Thanks for sharing Madison with us today. He must have really worked hard to get that dirty. We read both of your other posts and he was obviously very special.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
How very sweet that Madison let you know that he was OK at the Bridge…our heart kitties DO keep an eye on us. Very comforting when that happens. I will never ever take friends and friendships for granted – they are one of the most wonderful blessings in life.
Hugs, Pam
Oh, that is so funny that the kitty turned brown with the dirt and couldn’t be recognized! And yes, we must never take friends and family for granted. Or even strangers….
