Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #162
On Fridays, Kitties Blue and I enjoy joining the Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop. It is hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). It’s a fun way to learn a bit more about our fellow bloggers.
Each Thursday, on both blogs, you can find the four sentences to be completed. On Friday, post your filled-in sentences and link to the hop on Lorianne’s blog. To go there, click on the badge at the left.
Mauricio volunteered to help me out this week by filling in #4.
Our completions are in teal italics.
1. I could use some suggestions for getting reenergized about blogging.
2. I never refuse pie.
3. I hope my love of cats never changes.
4. Mauricio: I would rate my lovely wife Allie (Friends Furever) a 10 out of 10.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday on Friday
Due to Calista Jo’s birthday yesterday, we postponed Thoroughly Poetic Thursday until today. If you haven’t been joining in the fun, check out Two Spoiled Cats (by clicking on the badge at the left) for next week’s inspiration photo.
While there, make certain to read Angel Sammy’s poem if you haven’t already. He is a masterful poet, and I promise you will enjoy his offering. Links to poems by other bloggers can be found in the comments. It’s always fun to see how others’ interpret the photo.
Here’s this week’s photo.
High in the Sky
I’d love to live so high in the sky,
I could touch the clouds as they float by
And wave to passengers on jet planes.
Even if it rained, I wouldn’t complain.
I’d watch water sluice down the mountains;
Flow through rivers in the canyons.
Unwanted solicitors would never come by,
Offering magazines I don’t want to buy.
My days would be relaxing and peaceful
With only mountain goats to speak to.
If you’d like to come sometime to visit me,
Attach a note to an eagle and I’ll see!

Thank You from Calista Jo
C.J. was delighted to share her birthday with so many friends yesterday, and thanks each of you who stopped in to celebrate.
She received two beautiful cards she asked to share. The first is from Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats).
The second is from Pipo, Dalton and Benji from Meezer’s Mews and Terrieristical Woofs.
Thanks, purrs and paw-pats from Calista Jo.
Feline Friday
We also are joining the Feline Friday blog hop at Comedy Plus. To join, click on the badge below.
Happy 1st Day of Summer!
We don’t think we could climb that high to visit you! Great poem, though. 🙂
Fantastic fill-ins! It seems to me that you and cats were made to be together, so I don’t think your love for kitties would ever change. And your poem is beautiful! I love that you mentioned mountain goats in it. I am quite fond of goats. Purrs to all!
That is a lovely poem, but too high up for me to come and visit.
Well, our mommy can’t help with number one because she’s el slacko extraordinaire lately. Sheesh. Anyway, Happy belated Birthday, Calista Jo! Sorry we missed it yesterday but see our previous sentence. *sigh*
Such a cool poem and great answers too. We all get stuck on blog topics but that’s okay, it’s just another challenge.
Happy Feline Friday and the first day of summer. They are some really beautiful cards. We loved your friendly fill-in answers. Thanks for the wonderful share. Have a fantastic upcoming weekend.
Those are beautiful cards. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. #4 is so sweet and I agree, she is a beauty. Have a nice weekend! XO
PS: I wish I had a suggestion for #1, but you will have to wait until motivation strikes.
Nope, I won’t come visit you, up in a mountain aerie! EEK, too high!
If it’s not giving you joy, then don’t do it. Take a break, or post once a week. We’ll be here when you come back! Sometimes, I have so many topics that I have to make a list, then other times it feels quiet. Usually, a quick stroll through my photos sparks an idea, when I’m idea-less. Or a cat does something interesting, and I want to tell the world about it!
Aw on that beautiful kitty. Love is in the air for sure.
I love all your answers.
The poem made me smile. What fun.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug. ♥
Dearest Mauricio, I mentioned YOU in our fill-ins today too!! We’re sooooo purrfect together!!!
Love and smoochies,
Allie
ps – we loved the poem and your Mom’s fill-in answers too!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
Well this poem was worth waiting a day for – it’s sheet perfection! I like the last lines about the note delivered by an eagle….I think if I lived up there I’d want VERY LITTLE intrusion into my daydreaming – no visitors please! I’ve decided drones could deliver groceries and supplies so that’s not a problem either. Still, I’m pretty happy HERE with Teddy so I think I’ll just enjoy the photos of this place instead of dealing with it as home. Glad Calista Jo had a nice birthday. Here’s to a nice weekend too!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Happy Birthday, Calista Jo! Last year, when I was at my most productive – I found a ton of topics that really meant something to me (like scratching being a feline instinct – or that stereotypes cats don’t need us are false). I haven’t felt the same enthusiasm yet this year about anything. And I dread just about every part of blogging 🙁
So you aren’t alone!
I luv pie too!
