Mom has been putting up Christmas garland and wreaths in the house, and we have been helping her. It is one of the funnest things to do! We look forward to it efurry year. It is especially amusing to play garland tug-o-war with her while she is standing on the ladder. That really makes us MOL.
We are getting a little tired, however, so have decided to take our Sunday Easy right where we are. As soon as Mom gets that flashy box out of our faces!

Note from The Mom: In actuality, I told most of the kids that if they didn’t settle down and take a nap, the very real possibility existed that they would be banished until at least mid-January. Then came the threat: I informed them that I have the power to divert Santa to the nearby shelter where he would be leaving the toys and treats originally intended for them. They all decided to settle down after that.

Oh, my favorite activity – getting on the middle of anything new in the house. I wish my humans would bring out the holiday decorations so I could have fun like you’re doing.
OMC! You wouldn’t!!!! Pop puts up our decorations this weekend and they also get a real tree. I get into all the boxes but I never touch anything.

It looks like the best decorations are already out!
We like helping with the holiday decorations too. The peeps first do the outside, and then they do the inside. The tree always goes up last because Ernie likes to climb it. The mom says she’s gonna use the same threat your mom uses to try to keep us from messing with the decorations.

Last year I ate Santa’s cookies and knocked over his milk. Which then spilled onto several of the carefully wrapped gifts which were then wet with milk and ruined. There was a mad dash back out for some last minute shopping to replace said gifts which resulted in a fender bender… I think you see where I’m going with this.
I’m officially on Santa’s “bad kitties” list this year. But never fear, I have a plan…

I like to help my mum decorate the tree too, but she is so slow getting around to it.
My mum has started putting up the decorations, though we don’t have that many because some things can be dangerous for us kitties.

Ah yes…..get ’em where it matters – threats involving banishment or redirection of Santa Paws to some other location! It works….I told Sam he’d better be on his best behavior OR ELSE. He enjoys sitting in the boxtops of Christmas decorations but only occasionally “steals” one to play with while I’m TRYING to decorate. Part of the season is putting up with curious kitties I guess!

Good job helping with the decorating, kitties. We helped put up the tree this weekend, and now we have to get the head peep to write a post about how helpful we were. It’s worth it to have the decorations to sleep on/in/around, isn’t it?
