Sparks
Stuart W. Scott, the author of today’s Spark, is an associate professor of Biblical Counseling at Southern Seminary. He has 30-plus years of experience in counseling and pastoral ministry, including 10 years as associate pastor of family ministries and counseling at Grace Community Church. Scott also served on the faculty of The Master’s College and Seminary in the area of biblical counseling. He is the author of several books, among them, The Exemplary Husband; From Pride to Humility; Biblical Manhood; Communication and Conflict Resolution.
This is another of Dad Tom’s photographs taken at the Chihuly exhibit at the Biltmore in Asheville, N.C. This was actually my favorite of all the installations.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
I am also joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. Click on their badge to join. This photo might not be an adorable, floofy animal, but I believe it is definitely “Awww” worthy!
Chihuly is such a talented artist.
Great Spark and fabulous photo. Our Dad and Dad Tom would have had a lot in common since our Dad was a great photographer too.
The Florida Furkids with bazillion smoochies and tons of love to Mau from Allie. She’s having so much fun being with Mau at the Jamboree!
I don’t remember the last dream I had with any conviction. Growing up, my parents determined everything so I had no idea how to choose what I want. I’m getting better. All of this is complicated however by my inability to stand not getting what I want so desperately. I wanted my parents to love me so desperately growing up and my fear of being in that position (something that I want so bad and can’t have) means I don’t commit to much. I just realized how sad this all sounds. But to some extent, I’ve found parts of myself in my cats and blogging.
I LOVE Chihuly, Cad Daddy’s photos and this Quote!
You guys have ROCKED the Sparks again.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it
