Thankful Thursday
As we do each year, Kitties Blue and I are participating in Blog4Peace, the creation of Mimi Lenox. This is the 16th year for this annual event. If you are unfamiliar with it or Mimi Lenox, click here to visit the official Blog4Peace site.
We are truly thankful we live peaceful lives, except possibly for those weeks this summer when Sawyer was missing.
I selected the quote from Jimi Hendrix, as it seams so many people and various groups on our planet are overcome by hatred. They have forgotten the verse, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself,” from the Gospel of Matthew. I understand this is from the Christian Bible, and the world is filled with individuals of many faiths, but the wish and need for peace knows no particular faith. We all deserve to live in peace without fear for ourselves, our loved ones, friends and pets.
So today, we pray for love and peace and are thankful to have both in our lives.
In addition to taking part in Blog4Peace we are joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian. If you’d like to do the same, click on his badge.
Beautiful peace globe, friends. More than ever, this world really needs peace.
We think the greed of today’s life styles another factors have eroded the basic way to live peaceably with others, whether or not they are of like mind to yourself. We need to not judge people until we know then personally…and probably not even then.
Blessed are the peace makers…also from Matthew’s gospel.
Very nice peace post. XO
Beautiful post and such a pretty Peace Globe. We hope Peace becomes more contageous than Covid and we hope Peace spreads everywhere quickly. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m purring for peace. ~Ernie
Lovely quote. We’re purring for more peace everywhere!
Lots of hatred indeed. We all need to love each other more and quit bickering about nothing.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥
We purr and pray for peace too. That’s a great quote.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
We missed Blog for Peace this year – didn’t hear a word about it sadly – but we have – for as long as we can remember – hoped for REAL PEACE. It’s an elusive goal but prayers will come from US for peace as long as we have breath left………love your quote from Jimi – it is totally SPOT ON.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
I think there must be lots of anthros who do NOT love themselves. If only….
