Thankful Thursday
Sawyer is starting us out today with our thankfuls for this first week of 2022. He is thankful for five weeks and two days between seizures. He had one Tuesday, so the count begins again. He’s also thankful that his little sister Kizmet likes him and is kind to him. The photo below was taken after she had finished giving him a bath.
Today is Cuddle Up Day. Looks as if Sawyer and Kizmet were getting a head start.
I am thankful for:
- a new year—not that I am confidant it will be better than the last two, at least in terms of COVID.
- completing by 1,800th Peloton ride yesterday.
- having an appointment today with my orthopedist to get some help with my knee pain.
- Kizmet entertaining us everyday with her antics.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s good friend, Brian. If you’d like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on his badge.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
The inspiration photo Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) selected for today’s poetry challenge is perfect, as many of us have snow on the ground now.
The Wee Skier
If I tried to ski I’d fall on my butt,
But this tike is as steady as a truck.
Even if he should fall in the snow,
It’d be okay—he doesn’t have far to go.
He’ll be a pro in no time at all—
Skiing steep slopes with nary a fall.
When he’s my age he’ll still be a great athlete—
Won’t have to worry about landing on his seat!

Those are all terrific thankfuls. Okay Sawyer, that was a great run but now see if you can break the record for time between seizures. Good poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Wonderful thankfuls. Congrats on 1800 Peleton rides! XO

We’re always sorry when Sawyer has a seizure but we’re very THANKFUL that he went such a long time without one. Cute photos! Noelle wishes she was cuddling with Sawyer.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
We’re sorry that Sawyer had a seizure, may he go even longer without one this time. Love the picture of those 2 playing in/on their new “house.”
Hope you get some relief today for your knee.
Oh, wow, a peloton! Congratulations. Now here is a name of a product that mama has had FOUR times over several years (each treatment lasts many months, one time it laste two years!). She has had liquid around her knees, had it removed, then had a cortisone shot and then the biggy: SYNVISC…three shots, one a week for 3 weeks. It is much more effective than hyuauronic acid or any other treatment mama knows, and her knees are doing just fine since the last treatmemt 5 years ago! Might be a solution for your peloton knees. Have you been bicycling for a long time? Wow.
Sawyer and Kizmet cuddling – sweet! Sorry Sawyer had another seizure but at least it had been a longer time between. Love the photo of the Christmas house being invaded by a roof climber!!! Your poem for the photo today is perfection – that little skier is ready for anything and no doubt will be an Olympics star when he’s old enough!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
We didn’t know there is a special, Cuddle-up Day (We thought that was effurry day) but it’s a Great Idea. We are off to cuddle up right now!
