Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #69
We join Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) and Ellen (15 And Meowing) again this week for their Friendly Fill-Ins. This is the blog hop where you get the opportunity to learn a bit more about your fellow bloggers. It also gives those of us who participate a chance to put on our thinking caps to come up with completions for the four partial sentences provided by Annie and Ellen.
If you’d like to participate, you can find the sentences to “fill-in” each Thursday on both Annie and Ellen’s blogs. Then on Friday, the hop takes place at McGuffy’s Reader. To go there now, click on the badge below.
I have completed the first three fill-ins, and Kitties Blue have completed #4. My completions are in teal italics and the kitties’ are in blue.
1. My favorite fictional character is Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.
2. A new tv show or film I am looking forward to this Fall is the return of Will and Grace. Not really “new” I guess!
3. One of my very favourite books is anything by Jane Austen.
4. The best time to hide from your fursibs is any time, especially when you can pop out for a surprise attack. And we have a great new place from which to do that. Here are three of us in our new Catrine pyramid cat den in suede. We received this (and two other items) from a giveaway we won at Sweet Purrfections. The second Mom set it on the floor, Calista Jo dove right in. The moment she came out, Cooper Murphy took a turn. As Calista Jo could be described as full-figured and Cooper Murphy as stout, it was nice to see a den large enough to accommodate them easily. Mauricio has plenty of room for a friend, which will make Astrid happy.
A surprise attack is not welcomed anytime so the best time to have it is…when ever the spirit moves one. MOL

OMC!!! What a great new hiding-resting-pouncing from spot! And so roomy!
I used to be on the portly side, but since being grain free and getting lots of play time, over the past few years I have slimmed down. I didn’t want to be like my furbear, Toki who got up to about 21 pounds:(
It caused his demise…
That pyramid is the purrfect hiding spot! And it looks like you all are giving it a workout.
Those were good answers and a very cool win!
Those new pyramids are great. Calista Jo is not full-figured, she just has a lot of fur. 🙂 Thank you for these great fill-in answers. Great choice for a fictional character. The new Will and Grace should be good. have a great weekend! XO
Cats will be cats…jumping out at each other in ambush!
Those are some great answers to the fill-ins. Nothing better than a good hiding place to ambush other kitties or peeps. You all have a great week end.
We read Great Expectations freshman year of high school. I read only a few pages before I realized I had exactly ZERO interest in it. The next year, we read A Tale of Two Cities and I loved it. I keep meaning to try GE again … maybe it was just freshman immaturity or I didn’t have appreciation for great novels yet. I had no idea Will and Grace is coming back – that used to be one of my must-see shows – and I didn’t have very many at all. As for Jane Austen … I’ve read almost all of her major novels at least once. My pet peeve is authors today who try to pre-quel or sequel her books (Pride and Prejudice mostly) – they always come off as completely inauthentic. I don’t even try anymore.
guyz…yur hide out iz total lee kewl !!! conga ratz on de win N heerz ta lotz
of chillaxin time in ther !! ♥♥ 🙂
Wow!
Love your fillins! My purrsonal favorite book is Eric Gurney’s Pop-Up Book of Cats. Mommy collects pop-up books and I have discovered the joys of knocking them out of the bookcase, onto the floor and playing with the bits…
Alas, my Mommy is NOT amused and has kept the door to that room closed until she can find a way to keep me from exploring literature!
And I LOVE that pyramid tent! I have a cool pop-up one I shall have to showe on my blog!
Purrs
Marvelous
MOL, number 4!!
Say – that new cubby hole/hidey spot is TOTALLY cool! Mom calls me “hefty” is that the same as “stout”??? Tee Hee. I’d say as long as there’s no fighting over occupation that is a BIG HIT! Happy Friday to everybody……………
Hugs, Teddy
Two of my human’s favorite books are The Razor’s Edge and Franny and Zooey. She’s very much a midcentury author fan.
I love Dickens, and Great Expectations is a favourite. Sadly, I never was a fan of Austen. I know, it is odd. I am curious about the new Will & Grace. What a fun hiding cave! These cats would love it, too. Hugs.❤
