Caturday Art
Our mom really wants to write about our angel to show you the beautiful graphics we’ve received and acknowledge all the condolences, but she just cannot bring herself to do it yet. Whenever she tries, she feels lost and deflated. We all are trying to be extra attentive and are giving Mom and Dad lots of love, which does seem to cheer them up.
We kitties have begun to send e-mail thank you notes. We too are having a very difficult time; however, so we hope you’ll forgive us if we don’t get to you for a few more days.
In an attempt to cheer us and herself, Mom wanted to do some super festive holiday art for today’s blog hop. We think she succeeded. What do you think?
Mom likes the finished piece so much, she’s thinking she might use it for our Christmas card for next year.
To create today’s art, Mom used a photo of Astrid from the catio and added the Aptitude filter from Dreamscope. She then added the holiday embellishments using PicMonkey.
This is our entry in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. If you’d like to enter some art of your own and/or see the other creations, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies
We’ll be here tomorrow for Week #122 of our Sunday Selfies blog hop. We sure hope you’ll join us and do something festive if you have the opportunity. We think it’s time for our mom to try to get in the holiday spirit.

That is just a beautiful holiday image! That would be very nice to include in our bloggers slideshow…what do you think? We will leave this momentous decision in your capable hands….
Astrid’s art will make a purrfect Christmas card image.
It is beautiful.
Please take as much time as you need/want before trying to be ‘normal’ again.
Sending big purrs and hugs.
Astrid, this is such a super beautiful work of art created from your photo. Your Mom should absolutely use it as her Christmas card for next year! 🙂
Please tell Mom to be kind to herself, and to mourn Fiona’s passing at her own pace. There is no hurry, and it will take as long as it takes. Sending purrs, prayers and so much love to you all.
You always have such beautiful art!
Have a wonderful weekend…

I love your art especially the bow! That truly looks like a real painting. Look at the brush strokes.
BEST HOLIDAY CARD EVER!!! Go for it Momma Blue!! Mom and I are sending you and Mr. Tom our best POTP to help you move through this time of grief and loss. Take care of yourselves, do what you want, don’t do what you find difficult and hug the fur kids closer.
This is a lovely card and it does us fine, we don’t need a speial thank you although I know the kitties will want to give one to folks. It takes a while before you can work properly again (Mum still isn’t ‘right’ not really).
We send our love and say to Miss Janet Harvey has worked on a special Selfie for you.
We love that pic! It would make a purrfect holiday card.
We understand what a difficult time this is…tell your mom and dad to take their time…it’s gonna take time to heal. Purrs….
Beautiful Christmas art. Tell your mom to take all the time she needs, and take good care of her. Purrs
That is lovely art.
Take as long as you need, we all understand. It took me almost a month before I could do a tribute for Eric. It would have been longer but I wanted to do it for his birthday.
I forgot to say, my mum made me do a festive selfie for tomorrow. I am not happy!
This is a beautiful card!
I’m sorry you had to go through that with sweet Fiona. I’ve been thinking about you all week. I don’t know if you saw it on my blog but I posted a little tribute for Fiona on Monday, as I do for all the sweet kitties and furry friends we have known in real life and the cat blogosphere. Just wanted to let you know that we’re thinking of you.
Sending love, hugs and purrs,
Athena and Marie xx
Our mom can still re-cry over lost kidlets, so just take your time. We love the Astrid art!
YES, YES, YES your Mom should use that as her card for next year. It is pawsitively gorgeous! I had my cards done by Zazzle this year and they did a fabulous job! xoxo
You are beautiful all by yourself, Astrid … but the effects are stunning!
ps – we miss Fiona too.
Astrid looks very festive and we like the card very much!
We totally understand how you are feeling, and you do what you can when you can and go gentle on yourself.
I love this artwork. It definitely made me smile! Hugs. Be good to You.
That really is a super photo and we agree, a purrfect card it would be.
What a beautiful card that would make! No need to acknowledge. I know exactly what you’re going through. <3
This would make a purrfect Christmas card! It is all things gorgeous and festive. That being said, you all take as much time as you need. We’re all here for you!
That would be a perfect Christmas card, so pretty. No worries about thanking people, everyone understands you are grieving. XO
Beautiful Christmas Art. you need to take time to grieve before you worry about others.
Love the artsy touch to Astrid’s photo today……..that would be a beautiful Christmas card indeed. You know that WE know what you’re going through and we’re having the same tough time with responding to all the kindness we’ve received from the blogosphere……….somehow I think everyone understands though – friends do! We just have to “feel our way” through this period of grieving so let’s just decide to do what we can…..our friends know how hard things can be. Have a happy Caturday and we’ll see you tomorrow for “FESTIVE SELFIES” tomorrow….
Love, Pam and Angel Sammy
That’s very cool art today!
Tell your human to take all the time she needs – you can’t rush grief, and it’s okay to be sad for a long time.
we love you Mom Janet, Scout Mau and all the rest! Mom just began FIONA portrait on Thursday December 8th. It should be ready by New Year. Mom gets only 2 hours of studio time each week
Oh, this would make a beautiful Christmas card and extra special because you designed it.
I know your heart is heavy now. When I lost my previous cat I cried for a month before I could talk about him and not cry. Take your time. Your kitties and your readers love you. 🙂
