We all know that any cardboard box entering the house is a much sought after object of affection. Whoever gets to it first is likely to stake claim for an extended nap. That’s just what happened with this rather small and shallow box which arrived recently.
The bigger cats checked it out but found it less than comfy and so left it to the littler kits. However, a bit of jockeying for possession ensued prior to the final occupation.
She didn’t, and the box became Calista Jo’s for the long awaited nap.
They are so much like my 4yo son…give them a box and they entertain themselves for hours….should pass along the idea to Santa!!! Furry Kisses to all! Lizy
Laughing. Who needs TV when you have cats in the house!
Boxes intrigued me about a hundred years ago, but these days I much prefer the good old futon or mom and dad’s bed. Occasionally I still fight with one of them for the spot in mom’s rocker, too!
Boxes: hours of entertainment!
Lol – looks like Astrid is trying to make use of every bit of that box as she can! Cute!
Well… you almost got to sharing it! Hammy and I won’t even share that much…
Methinks Astrid found herself some boxy goodness too!
We think you need more boxes! 🙂
Tee! Hee!
Mes usually wins at our house!

WOW! That Saturday boxing sure can wear ya out! Happy weekend everyone!
You might think about having your humans get a few more of those boxes. They’re in great demand around our household!
Boxes are a wonderful joy around here too!
Calista Jo looks like she’s the winner. Great pictures to tell the story.
Yay to boxes, we never have enough! Happy Caturday!
Calista Jo sure boxed clever there!! 😉
That looks familiar! What cute pictures. It is funny how boxes are so important to cats!
Yikes – that’s what it’s like when you has siblings. If a box comes in the house, it’s MINE – all MINE! But I do miss out on someone to play with sometimes.
I guess it just goes to show that whoever claims the box first really does win!
Boxes are coveted territory!
How very cute! That box is going to be very popular. 🙂
Well, the pictures certainly tell the story… Calista Jo is the clear winner and deserved her well earned and fought for nap!
Wow what a edge of the cat-seat box war! Good job Calista! I won… Well I fit into the last box we had show up and will post about that tomorrow! Hope you stop by and give us a nice purr!

Haha! That is why HMC is proudly the only cat in the household. I don’t think he was meant to live with other cats. Ellie
